Elopement on Film 🎞️

This season I decided to stop asking clients if they wanted film images and just started doing it (typically out of my own pocket).

Most of the time when I would ask, my clients seemed indifferent. They could take it or leave it. I don’t think it’s because they didn’t like film, but because they didn’t realize how special it was. So this season, I just went for it - because I wanted to and because I wanted to showcase it to my current and future clients.

Nearly every session and wedding I captured this season I included at least 1 roll of film and to no surprise, my clients LOVED THEM! It is safe to say, film is just a part of my style now and we will continue to be a packaged deal.

For this elopement, @julialpinist & Jonathan specifically wanted it captured on film so I got to second shoot for my husband, @saltbornstories , focusing only on film. Be still my heart ♥️ I love how they turned out.

May is the best month because the days are long and still getting longer, the weather is warm but not too warm, flowers are blooming everywhere, the sun is out, the birds are singing, I can eat ice cream outside again, it’s my birthday month, and next year in May I’m having my wedding 🥲
