meet our founder & girlboss JULIA ✨

She is a daughter, a sister, a partner, a friend. A hard worker, a visionary, apparently a builder too— and most of all, a true girlboss.

Julia has been living with her childhood dreams for as long as she can remember. And there have been many. Over the years, she has worn countless creative hats: marketing wizard, event planner, interior planner, catering, film assistant, camera assistant, make-up artist, wedding photographer @juliamavula , stylist — you name it. And to this day, she still does all of those things. One day you will see her on a set doing make-up the other day you will see her teaching you how to work with Clay.

Driven by curiosity and a love for creating, Julia never limited herself to just one path. Instead, she followed every opportunity to learn, explore, and build something meaningful through her work.

6 or so years ago she started working with clay, what started as a form of therapy became a business. So she founded @leciel.vintage and with every year and the love for teaching clay, true craftsmanship & ceramics became more and more, so she started in her own words bothering all her friends with an idea and dream she’s had since she was a kid.

To build a space that is diverse just like her. Is it a ceramic studio, an event space, a matcha space, a store, a playground. What is it?

It doesn’t have to be one thing, the aim was always to connect communities, show what you can do without having a huge financial backup. What living out a dream can look like no matter where you come from.

SO here we are, she created the mother & the “house” for @leciel.vintage which we all know and love now @maisonleciell . Where she built 90% of the furniture from scratch by herself with her partner & uncle & restored a few auction pieces and @willhaben finds, for 3 straight months.

She now shares this dream with two creative women who work with and for her. And many of our guestteachers, creator of the month (more soon).

BE A GIRL. BE A WOMAN. BECOME WHATEVER YOU ALWAYS DREAMED OF. BECOME THE POWERHOUSE YOU HAVE IN MIND SMALL OR BIG. THERE IS NO LIMITATION FOR YOU.
