New here? Hi, I’m Julie 👋 I’m mildly obsessed with figuring out what makes people say “Yep. That’s for me.” Around here, we talk consumer insights, real-world testing, marketing, and what your customers are actually telling you. Welcome. I’m glad you’re here. 🤍 by @julie_wmc_co
Billions of dollars were spent yesterday proving something I have been saying for years. The campaigns that won the 2026 midterms were not the ones with the biggest budgets. They were the ones who stopped marketing to demographics and started speaking to moments. One campaign ran an AI that had 21,000 individual conversations with Wisconsin voters. Not a blast. Not a template. A conversation tailored to where each specific person was. The campaigns that kept running “suburban women 35 to 54” targeting kept missing. Because a category does not vote. A person in a specific moment does. And buys. Here is the thing about having a smaller budget than a political campaign: you do not get a thousand tests. You get one shot per post. One shot per ad. One shot per email. Which means getting the moment right is not a nice-to-have. It is the whole game. We changed three words in a client’s headline once. Words that matched the actual moment their buyer was in instead of their demographic. Cost per booked call dropped from $1,200 to $120. That client scaled from $40K to $830K monthly recurring revenue in 11 months. Same offer. Same funnel. The moment language changed. This Thursday I am running a free live workshop where we figure out your moment together. You will leave knowing exactly who your audience is, what just happened to make them go looking for help, and what words belong in your next piece of content. DM me AUDIENCE and I will send you the registration link. ↓ Slide 6 is the one to save. by @julie_wmc_co
Want to master marketing in 2026 and 2027? Start with your words. 🗣️ The businesses that win won’t have the fanciest funnels. They’ll be the ones that sound exactly like their customers, using the words their audience already uses. I’m running a free workshop on how to find those words and put them to work in your marketing. DM me “WORDS” and I’ll send you the invite. by @julie_wmc_co
If you have to explain what you do, you’re using your words, not theirs. Once I started saying “I help the person on your website see you’re the answer, so they click buy,” people finally got it. In my free workshop, Grow Your Business by Getting Clear on Who It’s For, I’ll show you how to find the exact words your customers already use. Join me on Thursday Nov 5. Comment WORDS and I’ll send you the link. #smallbusinessmarketing #messaging #storybrand by @julie_wmc_co
Your buyer is not a demographic. They are a moment. The person scrolling at 11pm after losing a client is not the same person who liked your post last Tuesday. Same human. Completely different decision. We changed three words in a headline once. Cost per booked call dropped from $1,200 to $120. Same offer. Same audience. Wrong moment language. It is almost never the offer. It is almost always the words not matching where your buyer actually is. Join me this Thursday for a free workshop and we will find your moment together. DM me AUDIENCE and I will send you the link. by @julie_wmc_co
AI isn’t your superpower. YOU are. 🔥 Your experience. Your insight. Your ability to understand people. AI just amplifies what you bring to the table. Two days with Dan Martell and some incredible entrepreneurs reminded me that the future of business isn’t less human. It’s MORE human. And I can’t wait to share what we’re learning. Want to know how to find the right customers and speak their language? DM me WORKSHOP for an invite to our free training next week. by @julie_wmc_co
Most people aren’t bad at content. They’re just focused on talking to everyone, so nobody feels like it’s for them. Getting clear on who you’re talking to is where Julie is the expert. And next week, she’s teaching the whole thing, free and live. You’ll walk away with:
→ a clear picture of the one person your message is for
→ a simple 4-box Language Map for your posts, pages and pitches
→ a rewritten headline you can use right away
→ a quick AI trick for pulling your customers’ real words Bring one bio, headline or offer you want to fix. 📅 Oct 29 · 12pm ET · Zoom Seats are limited. Comment WORKSHOP and I’ll send you the link by @julie_wmc_co
You have probably been told to “show up as yourself” online. Good advice. Terrible instruction. Here is what actually creates the feeling that makes someone want to buy from you before you have ever spoken. Cialdini spent decades on this and landed on two levers. Not charisma. Not a personal brand aesthetic. Two specific, repeatable triggers that you can build into every piece of content you create. The first is similarity. Not sameness. Shared experience, shared frustration, or shared aspiration. One of the three is enough. Researchers proved it with waitresses who simply mirrored how their customers spoke. Tips doubled. No better service. Just the feeling of being understood. The second is a genuine compliment. Not “you are so smart.” Something specific enough that the wrong person would not recognize themselves in it. A stylist said one sentence before picking up scissors and increased her tips by 37 percent. The cut had not even happened yet. Most founders post authority. Here is what I know, here is what I built, here is my result. The audience scrolls past it because they feel talked at, not seen. The brands that feel warm are not accidentally warm. They engineer it, one touchpoint at a time. Save this. Then DM me the word LIKE and I will send you the first question I ask every client before we write a single word of copy. by @julie_wmc_co
Your customers already wrote your best marketing. Most businesses just aren’t listening. We had a client whose ads described their customers as “overwhelmed.” It sounded right and felt right. Then we listened to what their customers actually said, and the word they kept using was “frustrated.” We changed that one word, and their cost per booked call dropped 10x. Same offer, same budget. The only change was a word their customers recognized as their own. When your marketing sounds like the voice in your customer’s head, they stop scrolling and start booking. When it sounds like you, they keep scrolling. If you’re not sure why people actually buy from you (or why they don’t), that’s exactly what we untangle in the Incubator. DM me “WORDS” and I’ll tell you how it works. 💬 by @julie_wmc_co
I have been a little quiet on here lately… I’m going to chalk it up to the fact that summer held a full schedule and the realization that no matter how much I am in denial, things are changing. And, while this summer held some incredible memories, it also made me realize how grateful I am for the men our sons are becoming. And, I am grateful to be their momma. So forgive me for a change in my business algorithm to let the nostalgia seep in as I start watching old videos on repeat. by @julie_wmc_co
Your customers are already telling you everything you need to know. Most brands just are not listening in the right places. Not in surveys. Not in focus groups. Not in the metrics dashboard. In the words they use when nobody has coached them yet. In the frustrations they leave in your competitor’s reviews. In the sentence they use when they refer you to a friend. That is where the real signal lives. And when you find it, it does not just sharpen your marketing. It tells you what to build next. Who to go after first. And when the market is shifting before your numbers know it yet. Most VoC research firms charge $30,000 or more for this level of intelligence. WMCco delivers it starting at $3,000. Swipe through to see exactly where the signal is hiding and what you can do with it once you find it. Save this. Then DM me the word SIGNAL and let’s talk about what your audience is already trying to tell you. by @julie_wmc_co
Your customers aren’t lying to you. But what they say and what they do aren’t always the same thing. 👀 That’s why I’m such a fan of testing. Ask the questions. Do the research. Talk to your customers. But then give the market an opportunity to show you what it actually responds to. Because some of our best consumer insights have come from tests where the market did the exact opposite of what we expected. 😂 And that’s the point. We’re not testing to prove we’re right. We’re testing to learn something we didn’t know before. Save this one for the next time your team is debating what they think the customer wants. by @julie_wmc_co
