Alternative Miss World 2026 - Ms Magma McGoo face, process in photos. Made from cardboard off the side of the road, collected by @juliejoubert_ , paper mâchée & a couple of thousand disco ball tiles which I salvaged from @theyardtheatre’s skip before the renovation (with permission of course), in fact all the fabric for Gaia was also given to me by the Yard after an event! So thank you beauts very much for your unknowing involvement in AMW ‘26 A combination of happy accidents, the cardboard had holes in so that’s where the cheeks & the mouth went. The eyes were measured with a paint can. The nose is made of a @yakult_ukireland box. And yes @gracemalonee, @micaela.pb, @juliejoubert_ & I laid every single one of the disco tiles BY HAND! 🖐️ by @juliejoubert_
ALTERNATIVE MISS WORLD 2026 - 4 girls, 3 looks, 2 hand masks, 2 weeks of work, 1 disco face, 1 crinoline, and about a billion squared meters of cardboard later Thank you so much @scarlett_ooty @micaela.pb @gracemalonee, we held the vision, we created the vision, we WERE THE VISION, i miss working with you so much 💗 @alternative.miss.world photo & video credits where known: @will.hodgkinson (#2) @kompanietsanna (#3) @janaaysouth (penultimate) by @juliejoubert_
Eveningwear - Alternative Miss World 2026, my favorite! What felt to us as a rather restrained finale. We also had lots of fun walking around meeting gorgeous people after the show in our evening gown, thanks for the selfies! by @juliejoubert_
Hands - Alternative Miss World 2026: made from cardboard, paper tape, papier mâché, foam padding, expanding foam, chrome spray paint & the perfect heads of @juliejoubert_ & @gracemalonee by @juliejoubert_
