LOR’s mission is all about improving local quality of life and expanding access to the outdoor spaces that make our community home. Thanks to their support, we’re able to keep bringing Lander together—from hosting free beginner skills clinics to creating more opportunities for local families and new riders to get out on the trails! 🌲✨
We are so grateful for their investment in our local trails, community connection, and the joy of cycling.
Thank you, LOR Foundation, for making Lander an even better place to live and ride! 🙌 @lorfoundation by @jurassicclassicfest

A huge thank you to the Lander Chamber of Commerce and the Wind River Visitors Council for supporting our mission through the Tourism Asset Development program.
Their generous investment helps us connect communities and showcase the joy of cycling across our region. We are deeply appreciative of your commitment to local tourism and community building! 🚲 @landerchamber #buildingcommunity photo credit @carl__cote by @jurassicclassicfest

"It has always been about the people."
Jurassic Classic MTB Festival @jurassicclassicfest organized and put on by the @landercyclingclub every year going a decade plus, brings together community, inclusiveness, and Wyoming through the avenue of bikes. While climbing seems to always dominate the scene in Lander, I would argue the Lander Cycling Club has built one heck of a biking community, one where people from all walks of life come together to celebrate and have a good time. As my first Jurassic Classic Festival, I plan on attending for years to come, and it's definitely time to join the cycling club!
.
My favorite part of the weekend was seeing kids, teenagers, and adults all celebrating, riding together, taking clinics, throwing down on the Cottonwoods pump track, competing together in the most ridiculous yard games, and riding Brewer's together (true story: I ran into some of my favorite local high school students, an attendee from Laramie, and a local physician who all randomly found each other on the Brewer's trail, and stayed together shredding jumps and hitting the gnar in Sinks all afternoon). Scenes like this make me love this town more than I already do, and one of many reasons why the Lander community is so incredibly special. by @jurassicclassicfest

Though active wildfire conditions forced us to relocate our Thursday night group ride away from Johnny Behind Rocks, we were still able to pull off a fantastic session over at CWC ASI. A huge thank you goes out to Lezyne and Gannett Peak Sports for loaning us the cycling lights that kept our paths illuminated, and to The Rock Shop Inn for supplying everything we needed for the cookout after and believing in our community! We are also deeply grateful to @fatbikes_ruehl and @studdpyles for running the show and keeping operations smooth. This event would not have been possible without the generous dedication of our sponsors! #nightride #rockshopinn by @jurassicclassicfest

Lander, we love you. This was our first time at @jurassicclassicfest - and oh boy. The people, the clinics, the trails, the COMMUNITY. You have a real special thing going, and we are so stoked to have been part of it. by @jurassicclassicfest

🚨 VENUE CHANGE NOTICE 🚨 THURSDAY NIGHT (tonight) RIDE HAS MOVED! 📍 New Location: Alpine Science Institute (Moved from Johnny Behind the Rocks / JBR)-meet in the visitor parking lot at 8:30pm. If you’re late just ride in and find the lights. We will have demo lights by @lezyne waiting for you! Sponsored by @rockshopinn

The countdown is almost over, and we can’t WAIT to see you all! As we put the finishing touches on an incredible weekend, here are key updates and safety notes you need to know before arriving:
🔥 Fire Update
You might have heard about the Weiser Knoll Fire (~13 miles SE of Lander). Rest assured: It is NOT near our main festival area in town, and smoke is very minimal! Moving Thursday’s ride to the Alpine Science Institute is a precaution to stay clear of the JBR area.
🚗 Travel & Fire Safety
Wyoming is extremely dry right now. On your drive into Lander, please do your part to keep our community safe:
    • Double-check that trailer chains are secured (no dragging links!).
    • Check tire pressures.
    • Take extra care to prevent roadside sparks.
🌧️ Thursday Weather Outlook
Rain and lightning are in the forecast. That’s a HUGE win for helping fight the wildfire, but it might mean a rainout for Thursday night’s ride to protect the trails. If it’s too wet, we’ll call off tonight’s ride in the dark and just have the bbq. —but the rain is setting us up for absolute HERO DIRT all weekend long! 🤘
📲 Stay updated: We’ll keep the festival website and the Lander Cycling Club Calendar updated with real-time info.

Join us and @jurassicclassicfest in presenting Freehub Presents: A Mountain Bike Film Festival. We’ll be pulling out all the stops to make this evening of badass MTN biking films great fun for everyone. Including Cologne-style service of beers as a fundraiser for @landercyclingclub. Come enjoy an awesome movie and learn a little about German beer! by @jurassicclassicfest

A huge shout-out to Dr. Teresa Ruehl and the wonderful team at Main Street Dental for sponsoring this year’s Jurassic Classic Mountain Bike Festival! Lander is so fortunate to have a family dental practice that doesn’t just care for our smiles inside the clinic, but actively invests in bringing our community together out on the trails. Your generous support will help make this year’s rides, clinics, and family shenanigans an absolute blast for everyone! @mainstreetdentalwy #goodteeth #dental #landerwy by @jurassicclassicfest
