Strike true and light a path little troublemaker 🔥 by @justanotherbadartist
Yesterday the company I work for announced it had been acquired, marking a new chapter for myself and the other employees. It’s always hard to say goodbye, but I’m super proud of the work I’ve accomplished during my time there. And super grateful for all the amazing people I met along the way! This means I’m on the lookout for new work opportunities! If you know anyone that’s looking for some design and/or illustration work feel free to send them my info! by @justanotherbadartist

10 years ago, the @cityofboston brand (as you know it today) launched, and shortly after, I got hired to help implement it. To celebrate this anniversary, I wanted to highlight one of your favorite former civic designers: me! (I also have to brag for @sebastianebarb , who was the one who hired me and fought many City branding battles beside me!) A life of a civic designer is a humble one; we’re always putting the needs of the public first before we even think about bragging rights. So most of you might not have even heard our names before, or realized we’re the reason why your trash cans look so pretty! But since I haven’t been in the civic space for a while now, I think I’m free to brag about all the cool stuff we did back then, right?? During my time at the City, I designed everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING) from crafting logos, building an icon library with over 900+ icons from scratch, creating citywide ad campaigns, jazzing up social media with graphics, playing with UI, coming up with a custom illustration library, a bit of copywriting, and even creating some animations for good measure. Some of my favorite projects are highlighted in the pictures of the post, but of course there are too many to show. You can still see some of my stuff in the City, so the next time you’re walking around Boston and spot some cool City designs, think of me! (Or if you think it’s ugly or bad, it wasn’t me and don’t ever think about me again!!!) I also have to mention @ideo (alongside some other cool people), who built the City of Boston brand and gave us the building blocks to create all the cool stuff. by @justanotherbadartist
I am the dragon now - piece from 2022 Happy HOTD day to all who celebrate 🐲 #teamblack by @justanotherbadartist
This summer Calvin, Pesto, and I are Boston bound! We’re so excited for our new adventures back in Bean Town (I know you missed me), though saying goodbye to VT is very bittersweet. Our past few years here have been so incredibly kind to us and we will miss it dearly. It was a tough decision to make but we look forward to where this next journey leads! by @justanotherbadartist
Here’s the digital version of my Pan’s Labyrinth illustration. Tried a few new things with this one, I hope you vibe with it! 🖤 Fun fact: I drew this whole thing with my laptop trackpad 🥸 by @justanotherbadartist
