POSTS STORIES REELS

INTRO. It’s been awhile since I’ve introduced myself! I’m Jen, Founder @justbekitchen , foodie fanatic, lover & advocate of women’s health & hormones & Community Builder.

When I started Just BE Kitchen I couldn’t get a loan or an investor. I had potential landlords tell me no way they would rent to someone who didn’t have experience in the industry.

I had lost a partner to Cancer, and learned after his diagnosis that he had been unfaithful. I had my car stolen, had to sell my home in England and was negotiating a share buyout at my former firm.

The death of a part of your life, is inevitably the birth of a new one.

Even in the lowest of lows, I took a bet on myself.

I opened the restaurant on about 6 credit cards after my bank went through a merger and my SBA loan was changed, a high interest equipment loan and a belief I would figure it out. I put my own money in after my share buyout.

I dove into healing like my life depended on it (BEcause it did) & found strength I didn’t know I had.

Tough times means parts of you die that NEED to so you can BE a better version of yourself.

When the pandemic hit, I literally thought “If I can get through that, I’ll get through anything” and navigated the business successfully.

After hitting Perimenopause in 2024 which brought me to my knees again, I dove into women’s health & hormones in mid-life like my life depended on it - because again, it did. It affected everything: business, finances, relationships.

Everyday I still bet on myself and it gets easier & easier as I navigate the death & births of life.

I have a 4-“legged “daughter” called Savi Grace (short for my “saving grace”), you can find me lifting heavy at the gym, I’m sarcastic AF but also sweet as honey and cry easily at the BEautiful things in life. Oh and I’ll want to BEat you at anything. Don’t care, just want to win LOL. 😂 And I’ll talk a big game along the way.

I’m a “jump in the boat” and row with you kind of gal & don’t give up easily. You shouldn’t give up on yourself either.

Say hi! 👋 by @justbekitchen

BEst. We were told we officially BEcame a BEst GF restaurant by @10best @usatoday
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
We (collectively) have won awards BEfore. This one hit different.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
It’s not about the award, but the journey. The 🔥 BEhind the wave of support from you BEauties, key influencers, interest groups, personal networks & more - was insane. Unlike anything BEfore.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
MayBE it’s BEcause it was a National award - but I don’t think so. We have capacity to feel elation but often miss the magic because we don’t have alignment. When we have alignment, we savor the juiciness & fall in love with the process vs the destination. This was the difference - I fell in love with the process and it created something unstoppable.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
This process wasn’t about “another award.” It was tuning into the energy of receiving: the daily votes/messages from you, floods of messages and words to forever cherish, daily reminders to vote that tapped into my creativity, and watching “Super Supporters” who went that extra step, opening their own personal networks to gain votes.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
You told me your mom, dads, husbands/wives, kids soccer teams, PTA groups, some of you had young children voting from their devices 😆, a mom that got so into it she reminded a guest to vote, work Slack groups, my High School Homecoming date text saying he’d vote😆, our own employee fun voting - our operations assistant in the Philippines had her whole town voting - the stories go on & on and the ripple affect was crazy.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
I’m in deep gratitude. Don’t forget the process. It’s waaaay BEtter than the destination.

Thank you for these sensational influencers for generously pushing for us w/out hesitation: @philhatesgluten @dine.assassin @holisticrendezvous @celiacwithkayla
@ocn_eats @tasteofboulder @denverceliacs @sandovalcd1 @collegeceliackc @biteswithbre @brookeberndt.businesscoach
@oliveyouwhole
Ps. Officially we got “2nd” but it’s irrelevant to me. We are officially a 10 BEst in USA Today out of all restaurants. It wasn’t about the award. It was the process. by @justbekitchen

“There was no certification to verify that foods are actually seed oil-free” — until now. 🛑🌻

The Seed Oil Free Alliance was founded in 2023 to “raise awareness, improve transparency, and educate consumers about the prevalence of seed oils in our food supply.” And we’re proud to say that Just BE Kitchen is the first restaurant in the country to receive their official certification. 💪

As co-founder Corey Nelson shared, “Any legitimate certification body does have certifying standards,” including lab testing and ongoing surveillance, and we passed! ✅

“They actually called and said, ‘There was oil adulteration in another company’s oil and yours has passed. So you’re the first restaurant that’s seed oil-free certified,’” said our founder, Jennifer Peters.

From avocado oil tests to finally finding clean alternatives, it’s been a journey. But one worth it — because “where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

📍No seed oils. No compromises. Just real food you can trust.

Thank you @foxnews @seedoilfreecertified

Easiest way to reheat one of our famous house rolled tortillas! Seriously the BEst gluten free tortilla you’ll ever have :-) Reheat them on dry heat - that’s the best way! by @justbekitchen

That’s right. Our house made street tacos 🌮 are almond flour based and rolled in store! Tomorrow is Taco 🌮 Tuesday and you get to choose any combo of a Taco Trio that you desire: Pollo, Carnitas or Veggies.

Which ones will you choose? by @justbekitchen

Instagram Worthy Strawberry 🍓 Smoothie vs Raw Footage Strawberry 🍓 Smoothie 😂 Either way the Strawberry Good Life smoothie is delish - mine was with added protein yesterday!
🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
Strawberries, banana, house made strawberry jam, coconut milk and protein! It’s wholesome and delish!
🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
Meanwhile, Savi Grace has lots of aunties and uncles at JBK that sneak her food when she’s on the patio and Chef Chris is the “worst” offender (the BEst according to Savi). “I don’t know what you’re talking about” 😂

We have Fall smoothies coming out soon - what flavors do you want? Tell me BElow! 👇 by @justbekitchen
