POSTS STORIES REELS

I am so excited to share my new demo reel, a collection of characters & stories I've loved bringing to life. Every role in this reel, from the comedic to the dramatic, has been an incredible learning experience. I'm so grateful to all the amazing directors, cast, and crew members who made these projects possible. This reel is a piece of my journey, and I can't wait to see what stories are next!

I want to thank the amazing @tristanspohn for his hard work, time, and for crafting such an awesome demo reel for me!

I had the pleasure of working with the amazing @seankaraheadshots & @vkara_hair down in L.A. Both Sean & Veronica were very warm, inviting, and professional! Sean expertly crafted & captured each image, and Veronica raised the bar on my HMU.

@imagebybuckley was an absolute delight to work with! Buckley created the perfect looks, and also led me to Sean!

Thank you @audreyhelpsactorspodcast for giving me the insight & direction to start on these paths!

Honored to have received a Best Actor nomination at the 26th Annual A Place Called Sacramento Film Festival for "A Stop at Sacramento", which had its premiere at the historic Crest Theatre!

Huge congratulations to the category winner, Seiver Lasson @seiverlasson (Buddy), and to all the fellow nominees on the slate—sharing this recognition alongside such dedicated regional talent was a privilege.

A massive thank you to our writer/director Tony Pacheco @tonebonepacheco , the entire cast, and the hardworking crew for trusting me with this role and pouring their passion into bringing this story to life. Deep gratitude as well to Access Sacramento for continuing to champion indie filmmakers year after year.

Onto the next story!

Around 2008, my good buddy Ken Koenig wrote a song that put a series of images in my head. Thanks to Access Sacramento’s screenwriting competition and their A Place Called Sacramento Film Festival, I was able to realize those images and win Best Cinematographer 18 years later. Thank you Ken, my family, friends, and every cast and crew I have worked with since I got my start in 2024. Love you guys.

Gotta go now. Sentiment makes me 🤢 by @justin_s_mcdavitt

Amazing day at the 1st SacTown 30-Day Challenge!

Thank you to @sactownmoviebuffs for creating & hosting this event, and providing the opportunity/platform for my Directorial Debut!

It was definitely a challenge, to say the least, but I am so happy to have participated. I learned a lot, and had the opportunity to meet & work with some great people!

"Delirium" may have started with me, but it wouldn't have come into existence without the wonderfully talented people that worked alongside me!

So many gave so much more than I originally asked, and I will be forever thankful!

30-Day Film Challenge No. 27/30 Director Justin S. McDavitt @justin_s_mcdavitt

"For Justin S. McDavitt, storytelling has always been about understanding people and how they interact with the world. Making his directorial debut at the inaugural SacTown 30-Day Film Challenge, Justin brings a rich background of experiences from both sides of the camera. He has had the privilege of performing in a diverse range of on-screen roles in films such as Test 486, Speed Date Me, Scar, and They're in the Water, the latter of which was recently released on the acclaimed horror channel Crypt TV on YouTube.

Stepping behind the camera, Justin’s creative vision is uniquely shaped by a lifetime of high-stakes environments—combining the rigorous discipline of a U.S. Navy veteran with the insight of a graduate in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. By fusing this technical precision with a deep understanding of human tension, he transitions to the director's chair with a distinct voice, delivering a filmmaking style that is as psychologically gripping as it is visceral and authentic."

Justin will be one of our 30 Mutli-talented Directors at our Cast and Crew Call on July 18th at New Helvetia Brewery @newhelvetiabrew
