I’m beyond stoked to announce the Mark Lavengood Band is opening for @greenskybluegrass on August 27 at 20 Monroe. We’ve spent years building something we believe in—honing our sound, earning our place on stages that matter, and showing up for the music and the people in this community. Getting the call to play before GLC isn’t luck. It’s the result of showing up, playing hard, and staying committed to the craft. We’re built for this. Come see what we’ve been building 🎺 by @justinavdekmusic
Our monthly 75-minute New Moon Nidra + Live Music event on Monday, August 10 at 7:30, is intentionally formulated to rinse off some existential dread.   Mark the new moon with guided meditation and yoga nidra, or ‘yogic sleep,’ a state of relaxation between wakefulness and sleep by candle light, led by Tina and Stevie.   Our featured Musician for August is Justin Avdek - Silent Spirit - a Multi-instrumentalist/Producer from Michigan who has collaborated and played with many artists such as Earth Radio, War and Treaty, Seth Bernard, Mark Lavengood and played on soundtracks such as Narco Wars on Nat Geo and an Emmy Award Winning Soundtrack for PBS’ The Last Artifact.   His latest record “Songs For Cowboys (For People Who Aren’t Cowboys)” showcases his depth as a singer/songwriter. His influences and music moods span across the board, always twisting and turning. From singer/songwriter to through composed mind trips. Always attempting to push the envelope, while keeping the listener engaged. Justin brings a deeply engaging musical experience that beautifully complements the practice of Yoga Nidra. Check him out on Spotify, then join us Monday to experience him live!   Come unplug from the grind, settle into stillness, and release what no longer serves you. Indulge yourself in the healing power of music and movement and make space for your humanity to revive with the new moon. Register at yogiunion.studio.   Live Music hosted by Dogtown Studio..   Live Music hosted by Dogtown Studio. by @justinavdekmusic

It’s time(over a year ago) to shout out the people who helped me on Songs for Cowboys(For People who aren’t Cowboys) The very best and most fun engineer in all the land, Mr. @tommyschichtel For those of you who don’t know, his studio doesn’t have a computer. He constantly wants to bring out human emotion before perfection. He makes me want to be a better musician and human. Glad to have worked with him, on my latest record and surely more to come. by @justinavdekmusic
2nd Annual Awful Show! It’s about to get awfuler. Who knows what’s gonna happen!? Because we don’t. by @justinavdekmusic
Long overdue post! First and foremost, it is Bandcamp Friday. Please support artists by buying there albums in a way where they can profit! Also, a limited number of local lathe cut 7 inch vinyl cut by Mitch at @black_circle_radio are available. They sound moody and beautiful and I only have a few left.
