Our school counselor, @justmeysb, spends all day helping students regulate their emotions. Then the Knicks win. 🏀😂 @nyknicks @ronclarkacademy by @justmeysb
First stop: the Empire State Building! These @ronclarkacademy 6th graders are taking their learning to new heights in New York City! After studying this iconic landmark, they got to experience it firsthand, connecting their classroom lessons to the incredible structure towering above Manhattan. They learned about the skilled riveters who fastened its steel framework high above the streets and the teamwork it took to build it in just one year and 45 days. When it opened in 1931, it became the tallest building in the world! From the engineering behind the building to the people who made it possible, every detail tells a story. Today, our students became part of that story. The world is their classroom. —— #ronclarkacademy #RCAtakesNYC #6AA by @justmeysb
Culture isn’t just something we study. It’s something we have a responsibility to preserve. 🖤❤️💙💚 The @ronclarkacademy Class of 2027 stepped beyond the classroom to experience the history, brilliance, resilience, and cultural contributions of African Americans firsthand. From exploring Georgia’s rice fields and connecting the experience to Copper Sun, to learning how enslaved Africans preserved their agricultural knowledge, craftsmanship, and culinary traditions, our students witnessed how history continues to shape the present. Through the wisdom of Dr. Jamal Touré and the craftsmanship of Mr. Gilbert Walker, the GullahSmith, our students were reminded that they are not simply learning history. They are becoming keepers of culture. These experiences matter. Our history deserves to be taught with accuracy, our culture deserves to be celebrated with dignity, and our students deserve opportunities to understand the shoulders upon which they stand. You cannot preserve what you do not understand. And you cannot appreciate what you have never been taught. This is education beyond the classroom. This is legacy in motion. #ClassOf2027 #CultureKeepers #LearningBeyondTheClassroom #GeorgiaHistory BlackHistory CulturalPreservation by @justmeysb

We were honored to welcome Yolanda S. Boyd, M.A., BCMMHC, CTIC to Trinity Christian Academy for a meaningful professional development session with our faculty and staff. As a school counselor at the Ron Clark Academy, Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach, Certified Trauma-Informed Coach, and experienced speaker, Mrs. Boyd shared practical strategies for creating safe, supportive learning environments where students and educators can thrive. Her insight into trauma-informed care, resilience, emotional wellness, and healthy school culture encouraged our team to lead with greater understanding, compassion, and purpose. We are grateful for the wisdom, encouragement, and heartfelt message she shared with our TCA family. Thank you, Mrs. Boyd, for reminding us that the best is still within each of us—and for equipping our faculty and staff to help bring out the best in every student we serve. #TrinityChristianAcademy #ProfessionalDevelopment #TraumaInformedEducation #EducatorWellness #StudentSupport by @justmeysb
