My season was very short but super eventful. I took time off from wrestling to heal for most of the season but came back to compete for a chance to wrestle at Fargo. It was a success due to hard work, dedication, early mornings, and late nights; yet it was all worth it. I represented the Illinois team and have never been any more grateful for that chance. I know I didn’t make it far but I was already proud of the fight I put up and the work I put in previously. I also met a lot of people and created memories for me to carry on with my lifetime. Now that my freestyle season is over, I am back in the lab to working on folkstyle. Getting ready for my final high school wrestling season in my entire career 🩵🫧 by @justvazquez_

Our girl did it🤍

Aaliyah went out there and won all 3 of her wrestling matches, officially qualifying for Fargo Junior Nationals and earning her spot to represent Team Illinois! 🇺🇸🤼‍♀️

This moment didn’t happen overnight. It came from countless early mornings, late nights, long practices, discipline, sacrifices, tears, injuries, dedication, and an unbelievable commitment to becoming better every single day. Watching her growth as an athlete and young woman has been one of the biggest blessings.

We are beyond proud of her and excited to watch her compete on one of the biggest stages in girls wrestling. This is HUGE for our girl! 💙

If you would like to support Aaliyah on her journey to Fargo financially, please check out the fundraiser link (posting soon) for more information or feel free to send support through Apple Pay at 847-489-0089. Every contribution truly helps and means so much to Aaliyah.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, prayed for, trained with, and believed in her along the way.

One of the funnest nights of the year, HOCO 2025. This years theme was Rhythms of Rio. It was full of music, food, games, and mostly fun! I was able to spend and enjoy this night with many friends and some family 🩷🦜 by @justvazquez_

I had an incredible time this Freestyle-Greco season. I wrestled with so many talented opponents and partners, and met amazing people along the way — from new friends to inspiring coaches. Although my season ended a bit early due to an unexpected injury, it gave me the chance to focus on my health and truly enjoy the rest of my summer. I’m so thankful for everyone who supported me this season. I hope to see you all again soon and in the years to come!
