When your worlds collide so perfectly. 🤓 Today I got to experience the closing bell at the World’s greatest financial exchange commemorating the 100,000th CFP member. It means so much do what you love and for it to be so meaningful. #NYSE #commemoratingCFPs #grateful #financialplanning #CFP #greaterpurpose by @jwkfinancial
When do you buy a stock (ownership of a company) or a bond (lender of a company)? It all depends on the purpose of that money and how much you can stomach in the case of a downside of that money. 💡 #firstgenerationwealth #managinginvestments #stock #bond #wealthmanagement #jwkfinancial #personalfinance #financialplanning by @jwkfinancial
Personal Finance 101: 💡 Stock: owning a share of a company and these owners are called “shareholders”. This is the most risky type of traditional investment because you’re the last to be paid out should the company fail. #shareholders Bonds: are lenders or “borrowers” and typically safest because they’re the first to be paid out. #bondholders So what do you do when you want a little bit of both and the amount of risk you can stomach is inbetween and you’re in the middle (like most people)? You have both! It’s called managing your asset allocation! 🤓 With a diversified mix of both stocks and bonds, consistent saving and regular rebalancing, you can grow your wealth. 🤩🤩🤩 #assetallocation #rebalancing #investingforfuturegrowth #stocks #bonds #mutualfunds #etf #indexfunds #investments #financialplanning #wealthgrowth #firstgenerationwealthbuilder by @jwkfinancial
People have been asking about “Backdoor Roth’s”! If you have a healthy emergency fund, contributed the maximum in your 401k, have more to save, this is another strategy that you can utilize! These are helpful to not have RMDs later in retirement and a great estate planning strategy! 🙊💵 #financialplanning #firstgenerationwealth #estateplanning #jwkfinancial #planningformore #growyourwealth by @jwkfinancial

The Biden Administration has finally come to a decision on student loans! For individuals who make less than $125,000 - you can have up to $10,000 forgiven and an additional $10,000 if you received Pell Grants! In addition, the pause has been extended one final time to the end of this year. And for those who will have a payment after that, it will be capped at 5% of monthly income. 🤑 #financialplanning #debtplanning #studentloanpayoff #bidenstudentloanforgiveness #buildingwealth #growingwealth #firstgenfinancialplanning by @jwkfinancial
Traditional IRA or Roth IRA? 🤷🏻‍♀️ People seem to have questions and be confused about them! Here’s just a quick explanation on the main differences between the two! But remember, they’re both tax-deferred so doing a little of something is better than doing nothing! 🥳 #financialplanning #firstgenerationwealthbuilding #jwkfinancial #retirementaccounts #taxes #waystoputmoneyaway by @jwkfinancial
Taxes are important so how to best utilize them in your overall net worth is worthy to pay attention to. Most times, if you want your whole dollar to go farther in the beginning, you want to put money in your before tax accounts. However, if you’re concerned about taxes in the future, you’re better off in an after-tax account. In either situations, a tax-deferral is most beneficial! 🤑 #jwkfinancial #maximizingyourmoney #growingyourwealth #firstgenwealthbuilding #flatfeeonlyfirm #financialplanning #cfp by @jwkfinancial
Do you know what YOUR net worth is? This can also be called a “balance sheet”. Most companies have one but it’s important for individuals and families to know what their NET worth is too. It’s even more important to see it growing so you know you’re going in the right direction (or make some changes). ASSETS - LIABILITIES = NET WORTH It’s actually quite simple to figure out what yours is too! You can do it on a paper or excel or an app! #jwkfinancial #networthstatement #balancesheet #growingyourwealth #firstgenerationgrowing #wealthmanagement #buildingyears #workingyearsinfinance by @jwkfinancial
