Last night, our @k.allen.consulting Founder & CEO Krystal Hardy Allen @krystal_h_allen was awarded 🥇 as a 2026 New Orleans @nolacitybusiness Woman of the Year honoree alongside other dynamic women in business and teams in nonprofit leadership! This is a tremendous milestone and achievement as @k.allen.consulting nears 10 years of demonstrated, impactful consulting services and results, as well as unwavering philanthropic contributions KAC has made to not only the Greater New Orleans region, but the U.S. and countries abroad that we’ve helped for nearly a decade. 🏆💯

In the first photo stands both she and her husband, and in her words, “There would be no @k.allen.consulting without my husband’s support from Day One and his love and support all these years doing this work.☝🏾”

To every award winner 🥇 last night, congratulations! 🎉 So many amazing nonprofits and women leaders that we salute! ❤️ …and tot our own CEO, you did that! Approaching 10 years and what a beautiful blessing and honor it is to walk into this new era of growth and impact!

Impactful board retreats are one aspect of the secret sauce to how thriving organizations remain strong. 💯

We were honored to provide facilitation support for @kidsmartnola KID smART’s 2026 Board of Directors Retreat. Time set aside to align on vision and plan for board leadership that undergirds the organization’s historical success and its future plans.

Thank you, KID smART, for investing in your board and your mission the way you do! ❤️ It is an honor to support and watch your work in action! ✨

For 5 years in a row, we’ve had the opportunity to design and lead the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s (GNOF) @gnofoundation ‘s opening kickoff and foundational executive leadership intensive day for rising nonprofit executive directors and leaders hailing from multiple parishes of the state.

Here is what our 2026 full day looked like last month with the newest cohort of dynamic leaders and the GNOF staff leaders present. Investing in emerging talent is critical. When leaders move into seats and are ready, it makes all the difference in the world! When they’re not, an organization can tank, regress, or unravel in ways that will cost your work, org, and community challenges for many years to come.

Grateful to teach, hold space for, and equip this group of nearly 50 leaders with the tools and insights to help them deepen their skills to become emotionally intelligent leaders. 💯 - See a leader or org you know in this video? Tag them, y’all! ❤️

#FromTheMouthOfBabes Children are always watching adults. Young people pay CLOSE attention to what we say and what we DO. 🫶🏾

It was an honor to meet these 4 teenagers after leaving a @newvoicesfamily stage speaking, and listen with our whole hearts to what they learned and how they left equipped.

As business leaders and community figures, we have a great deal of influence. Everyday, @k.allen.consulting aims to not only build the capacity of adults and youth, but to do so in a way that is culturally responsive, emotionally intelligent, practical, and lasting. 🙏🏾 Moments like this you never forget.

The fact that they saw someone who looked like them & came from where they are from was monumental to and for them. Thankful for every testament of impact that shows up in this work.

✨#DCtoLA ✨K. Allen Consulting™ had the honor of engaging in an intimate advocacy dinner with Denise Forte, President and CEO of The Education Trust (EdTrust) @edtrust , its national DC and Louisiana @edtrustla leadership, and fellow advocacy partners of the org, like @policyinstla (Asya), @quintessential.tash (N. Pittman), and D. Roberson @ms.robersonn ✨

Based in Washington, DC, EdTrust is a national organization dedicated to advancing educational equity and opportunity, particularly for students of color and those from low income backgrounds, through research, policy advocacy, and systems change. 📚

What a gift to be in community with leaders who understand that transforming education requires courageous leadership, meaningful partnerships, and a relentless commitment to children. ❤️ This morning, we’re sending a very special thank you to Keira Skipper @_skippp and Tramelle Howard @tramelle.howard for creating this opportunity and more importantly, for the tremendous, seen and behind the scenes work they pour into advocating for Louisiana’s children and youth day in and day out. 💯 Those two are a powerhouse and their leadership, labor, and unwavering commitment do not go unnoticed! 🙌🏾

Grateful for the fellowship, shared vision, and the reminder that lasting change happens when committed people come together just like this! ✨

Being trusted by international, national, and regional organizations holds a lot of weight in our books because we never forget what it took to get here.

We count it an honor to design and facilitate convenings, as well as project manage major initiatives and special projects, such as this one for the United Way. 📚

We thank the United Way @unitedwaysela and GLRC Heads Todd Battiste @tbattiste and Renita Wooldridge for their amazing vision, leadership, and trust in @k.allen.consulting as one of the 2 prime firms guiding the next chapter of this city-wide literacy campaign and movement work! 💯

There are so many dynamic partners we get to engage with via UWSELA on a monthly basis in this year-long work, and this is a sneak peek carousel of pictures from work we supported via live facilitation earlier this month spotlighting some of those partners in action! KAC Consultants Candes, Jenny, and Krystal were the assigned team members for this engagement, and enjoyed every single minute with this convening of over 30 leaders committed to addressing existing gaps in grade-level literacy across our region.

Love you all and LOVE this work ❤️! @blackednola @kidsmartnola @policyinstla @gopropeller @nolalibrary @louisianakids and sssoooo many more…thank you for your amazing input, time, and dedication!

Project managing this major initiative to support creating a culture where literacy is rich, where youth and adults truly develop a love for reading, and a world where there are no social determinants to literacy is what it’s all about. As a team comprised of many former educational leaders and practitioners, this work hits home in more ways than one! 💯

#WhenHeavenSmilesDown 🕊️🙏🏾 When folks say don’t judge a book by its cover, it’s real because some moments in life hit deeper because of the STORY we don’t see.

This summer, our CEO was named and provided the opportunity to serve as an official 2026 Essence Festival Featured Author for her bestselling book,“What Goes Unpsoken”! 📚

‼️‼️‼️ BUT what many may not know is just how ANCESTRY made this HISTORY in the making. 🙏🏾

✨Born in 1928, Krystal’s paternal grandmother (🕊️Mamie Lee Hardy) was illiterate. She was never taught to read and instead, made to begin domestic work and work in fields before the age of 8 years old, so never completed a formal education. She worked her entire life serving others - cleaning, cooking, farming, raising other people’s children, and more. Often looked down upon, even at time within her own family.

✨Growing up, her grandbaby as she’d call her (Krystal) accompanied her to doctor’s offices and more to read things to her, to sign her name for her, and saw firsthand how the world engaged with those that could not read, had difficulty comprehending, and advocating for themselves.

✨It’s WHY our CEO @krystal_h_allen made that same grandmother, who passed away in 2010 🕊️, one of the people she dedicated this book to in its opening pages. ✍🏾 The fact that it would go on to hit anyone’s bestseller list meant nothing in comparison to the history it made ancestrally.

‼️Despite this reality, that same grandmother would go on and instill and preach to her own family the importance of education, and 2 generations later, her son (Arthur Lee Hardy) would go on to have a daughter who would become a national bestselling author, the 1st of such in the family’s bloodline….which is a beautiful testament to what is possible and what is destined. ❤️

Thank you, @newvoicesfamily @pdmagency_ @essencefest @quiwingfield for making this year one our entire @k.allen.consulting team and Founder’s family won’t ever forget! 🙏🏾💯

This week ahead begins Quarter 4, and this feature is just one of the many moments we’ll never forget from Q3.
