As an artist, it's important to showcase my work.
Even if it's every six months :)

COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN!

I thought I’d create a more detailed post about what I offer and where I price my commissions!

If you’re interested in my work, please message me via Instagram DMs and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

*You can be located anywhere within the U.S. and I can ship your piece to you so you don’t have to be local to me, at all.

**These commissions are primarily on a first-come first-served basis, but if you have a deadline, please make that clear to me and I will most likely be able to make that work!

Also if there are any questions please ask as I most definitely forgot something 🫶 by @kacidraws

Behind every drawing is a really bad photoshop job.

Commission piece: graphite 11 x 8.5 inches on paper by @kacidraws

11 x 17 in. “Lacy & Benny”

Graphite on Paper

This is probably my favorite piece I have done in a long time and the fact that I was able to do it for such an amazing family is such a blessing.

These kinds of commissions are my absolute favorite because I know they mean so much to both the people in the drawing and the person commissioning the piece.

I used a lot of new techniques in this and I could go on and on about it, but I absolutely adore how it turned out!

Happy Valentine’s Day! 💕✨ by @kacidraws

This piece was just sent all the way to Oregon and I love that I’m able to make these kinds of pieces around the holidays!

If you’re interested in getting a drawing or custom painting, check out my website linked in my bio!

“Can’t you see I’m busy?”

22x30 in. Graphite on paper

5 week drawing class is done!! This is my final for this class and we pretty much could do anything we wanted so of course I had to include my cat, Toast, somehow haha!

I absolutely LOVE doing this style of drawing. If you don’t know, it’s essentially just called… scribbling and hoping for the best.

Can’t wait to have more time for more personal projects and to get back into commissions! I can already feel like I’ve gotten SO much stronger as an artist in these past few months.

PSA: if I’ve done art for you in the past, consider getting me to do more again soon cause my skill set (in my opinion) has evolved so more more beyond what I was capable of a few years ago.

I’m excited for this next (AND MY LAST!!!) semester of college! Let’s just pray my sanity is still in tact by the end of it *eye twitch* by @kacidraws

“Encroach”, 18 x 24 in, Acrylic and Oil on Canvas

This painting was created for my painting class to portray a feeling of “chaos”.

“Acceptance of Growth”, 12sq ft, Acrylic on Canvas

This piece serves as my final for my painting class! While creating this piece, I went through loss of someone really close to me, and to be honest with you, I had zero desire to finish this painting. It was meant to represent an “Acceptance of Growth” of being fine with getting older and maturing.

However, after experiencing what I went through the last couple weeks, I learned that this painting also serves as an “Acceptance of Growth” through loss. And to be even more honest, this painting is still hard for me to look at. When I tell you I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into this piece, I MEAN IT.

I haven’t really shared my other art this semester but I will try to catch up on it soon, so keep an eye out!

Plus now that the semester is ending, I have more time to focus on art for myself, rather than fulfilling a prompt.

If any of you care about my career as an artist, this. This post right here.

When I moved to Denton, I was a scared little student who was terrified that I would “never make it” in any kind of creative field.

I remember that I had nearly moved back home THE DAY I moved to Denton. Thankfully, I took a chance.

When I was employed by the City of Denton as an intern, I thought that it would just be a job for maybe a semester or two. But here we are… one year later. And I am so impressed by my own growth.

This summer, I was given the opportunity by @cityofdenton , @sustainabledenton , @recyclerightdenton , and @prattindustries to create a mural at Pratt’s recycling facility here in Denton.

The wall is 38’x9’ and my goal was to incorporate drawings from Denton’s K-12 students while staying around the themes of Denton, sustainability, recycling, and the environment.

“But Kaci,” you may ask “we experienced RECORD HIGH heat! Reaching upwards of 115 degrees!”

Yes. Yes, we did. Trust me, I KNOW.

Though painful and both physically and mentally taxing at times, I could not be more proud of the final product.

I was so shocked that so many agencies including NT Daily, Denton TV, UNT CVAD, and more wanted to showcase this project to their audience. I’ll be honest… it was really cool :)

Thank you to everyone who has EVER supported me in my artistic journey. From the City of Denton, my coworkers, my friends, and family to the people who would simply like a post of mine, you all have motivated me to keep going. And trust me, we’re just beginning!

P.S: I will be putting a link to a video covering the project in my bio if you wanna check it out :) by @kacidraws

Been very inspired by my VERY TALENTED FRIEND @loetuc PLS GO CHECK OUT HER STUFF SHE IS LITERALLY AMAZINGGG

Anyway, this is just a little doodle of mine I did while procrastinating all my other tasks :)

Can’t wait for the fall semester to start so I make actual art again lol
