a year ago today this picture was taken, and it’s been my screen-saver ever since. this picture grounds me. it’s always been, and will always be the little joys that make us the happiest. biking on an island, barefoot, with my best friend is at the top of one of my favourite days on this earth 🌎 by @kailamcwilliams

2023 — learning that you can’t really control all that much, but a ‘face it and embrace it’ perspective helps. the year began with the loml being diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases. little did we know that our relationship could continue to flourish and we’d become ‘experts’ at something so unknown. it was followed by graduating with my bachelor and learning about myself in south east asia. moved into a homier home in quebec city. celebrated my 24th birthday with my best friends — hiking and jamming to live music. then, I began an unexpected contract teaching five-year-old children (although, they might actually be teaching me about being present, and giggling about the silliness of the world). ending 2023, with a fuck you, but I also learned the biggest lesson, true connection is the utmost important part of life. to newness, and love! 🤍 by @kailamcwilliams
