Pilates didn’t directly make me lose weight — but it changed everything.
Yes, 70–80% of weight loss is diet, and only 20% is movement. But Pilates was the catalyst for my 9kg transformation after two kids.

It wasn’t about burning calories — it was about becoming a woman who makes better choices. That’s the magic of Pilates. It’s not just a workout — it’s a way of living.

Joseph Pilates didn’t create this method for fat loss. He created it to build strong, resilient, holistic health. He believed:
1. Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness
2. A balanced body supports a balanced mind
3. True health comes from proper breathing, alignment, and flow
4. Strength should be built without bulk
5. Movement should be efficient, graceful, and intentional

Here’s how I actually lost the 9kg:
1. I kept showing up.
Even when I didn’t feel like it. Because Kaizen — continuous improvement — is how results are built.
2. I adjusted my portions.
I used to eat healthy, but too much. Now, I follow the Japanese principle of Hara Hachi Bu — eating until I’m 80% full.
3. I prioritized my sleep.
7–8, if possible 9 hours a night. Without rest, your body can’t recover, reset, or let go of weight.

Pilates gave me strength — physically and mentally. It’s not a quick-fix weight loss tool. It’s a lifelong method for becoming your best self, from the inside out.

@kaizenpilates.ae turns ONE!
I don’t know how we crossed paths if I’m being honest.
Everytime I take a class I can’t believe the experience-
this is all thanks to the people that make the Kaizen experience.

Kaizen Senseis (instructors), Kaizen team that works behind the scenes, and most importantly our clients that take time out of their busy schedule to come.

Humza and I truly appreciate everyone!
