Let’s face my biggest fear together: escalators. I don’t know how you guys survive in Hong Kong with the amount of escalators you have everywhere. Listen, I can catch rattlesnakes, I can give speeches to large crowds, I can swim with sharks, I love tight spaces… But an escalator will take me out. This @louisvuitton guide had me going through so many escalators in the city of Hong Kong that I felt I needed to take a moment and document my terror. Now you know a little bit more about me I hope you enjoy this ranking of escalators by how much they made me want to 💩 my pants.# by @kajszo
My review of the book Circe by @madeline.e.miller - a poetic coming of age novel that tells the story of an immortal goddess notorious for turning men into pigs.🐷 If you’re looking to brush up on some mythology before watching Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey - or if you want more Greek vibes after watching - this is a great read. by @kajszo

I gave an AI $100 to beat the S&P 500 for 12 months. Week 2 is in. 🤖📈 Can artificial intelligence beat the stock market? I’m putting it to the test with a real-money experiment: $100 managed by an AI investor on Robinhood vs. $100 in an S&P 500 index fund (SPY). Week 2 results (as of Oct 21, 2:51pm ET):
🤖 AI portfolio: $102.21 (+2.21%)
📊 S&P 500 (SPY): $99.48 (-0.52%) The AI leads by 2.73 points, after two weeks. What the AI owns: Berkshire Hathaway (+7.12%), a healthcare ETF, XLV (+5.94%), Amazon (+5.01%), Nvidia (+2.90%), Microsoft (+0.27%), and Google (-4.49%). The AI made one move this period: on Oct 15 it put its leftover $15 in cash into Amazon and Nvidia, so it’s now fully invested. Five of six picks are ahead of the S&P, but Google is the one loser. Berkshire and the healthcare ETF led. Google went from a gain last week to a loss this week. Two weeks is a tiny sample, so don’t read much into it. Follow along to see if the AI actually beats the index fund. Not financial advice. This is an experiment with a small amount of money, and past results don’t predict future returns. #AIinvesting #SP500 #investingforbeginners #stockmarket #indexfund by @kajszo
I gave an AI $100 to beat the S&P 500 for 12 months. Week 1 is in. 🤖📈 Can artificial intelligence beat the stock market? I’m putting it to the test with a real-money experiment: $100 managed by an AI investor on Robinhood vs. $100 in an S&P 500 index fund (SPY). Same start date, same rules, 12 months, and I’ll post every update, wins and losses. Week 1 results (as of Oct 14, 9:38am ET): 🤖 AI portfolio: $102.05 (+2.05%) 📊 S&P 500 (SPY): $99.78 (−0.22%) The AI leads by 2.27 points, after one week. What the AI bought: Berkshire Hathaway (+2.79%), Microsoft (+2.51%), a healthcare ETF, XLV (+2.23%), and Google (+2.05%), plus 15% in cash. Every pick is ahead of the S&P so far, but one week is a tiny sample, so don’t read much into it. Why the S&P lagged: A hotter-than-expected inflation report hit tech and AI stocks hard, while healthcare held up better. Next week I’ll report the numbers again, including any losses and the AI’s running costs. Follow along to see if the AI actually beats the index fund. Not financial advice. This is an experiment with a small amount of money, and past results don’t predict future returns. #AIinvesting #SP500 #investingforbeginners #stockmarket #indexfund by @kajszo

helen of nowhere follows a disgraced professor known only as man who retreats to a remote cabin in the woods after a public scandal upends his life. The novel blends realism with surreal elements and explores of true transformation can come from a Thoreauvian escape to nature, or if it requires more from us. Here is my spoiler-free review of this very short novel from the @thebookerprizes Longlist by @kajszo
Once you go Persian there’s no other version! 🥕 Today we stopped by @smorgasburgla x @farhangfoundation ‘s Smorgasjoon! It’s a food festival with a Persian theme. There are some vendors who are strictly Persian, but then a lot of non-Persian vendors also had specialty Persian items for the day.
