My last day in Ghana 🇬🇭 was almost my last day on earth. I never prayed so hard. It was a slow start due to the rain. Breakfast in room and then a beautiful scenic drive along Cape Coast to check out Fort St George Castle. Then it was on to the forest @kakumpark to roam around in the bush. Didn’t know what I signed up for. The canopy walk was fine it was the hike to get there and back that almost took me out. But we had a great guide who was patient and I made it. We passed by the crocodile place but they were out due to the weather. Then it was the 4.5 hour life changing drive from Cape Coast to Accra. I was singing Jesus take the wheel the whole time. The roads are under construction and so horrible especially when combined with the rain. But thank God I made it in 1 piece. My insides abs body felt like that bear on the mirror. I’m sure all my remaining eggs are scrambled!! #ghana #capecoast #forest #canopywalk #roads by @kakumpark

Most people think heritage is just old buildings… but it’s much deeper than that. Heritage is our identity.
Our stories. Our roots. From historic sites to traditions passed down for generations, preserving them means protecting who we are as Ghanaians.

At Ghana Heritage Conservation Trust, this is our mission every single day.

What does “heritage” mean to you?
