Mr. Peihopa, you’re the first, my last, MY EVERYTHING🤍 by @kanoelehua

Almost a year ago, I entered a public casting call for the chance to become the new face of @hawaiianhostinc Aloha Macs🍫 and almost a year later, these boxes are rolling out across all of Hawaiʻi🥹 It’s been the most surreal experience to walk through the store or airport and see mini versions of me on these boxes and know that people will end up buying for themselves to enjoy, or for their loved ones around the world🤎

I wanted to make this post to express my deepest gratitude to all who were involved in the making of THE photo — Carissa (@ruita03), Nathan (@nate_bunnell), Keely (@kbenzzy), and of course Baba and Zack of @manaolahawaii for styling me for this shoot❣️When Carissa and I were trying to brainstorm ways I could tell my moʻolelo in a single photo, it was obvious to us that I would adorn this deep red in honor of my Moku ʻo Keawe, of which I’m so proud to belong to🌋 it is also significant of the Lehua blossom, my namesake. The niu skirt, maile and palapalai adornments signify the relationship between mauka and makai. Its symbiotic relationship to create and maintain life in its vast environment is what we’re taught as keiki Hawaiʻi, and it’s what we should be inspired by to continue to grow, learn, and become as expansive in love and knowledge as we can.

My dear friend Kawehi (@leibywehi) who spent hours into the early morning crafting my lei poʻo and kūpeʻe🌿and last but CERTAINLY not least, Cheryl (@cherylbrown.hi) for spending hours with me doing my hair and makeup for almost every single Hawaiian Host occasion, in any weather condition. ESPECIALLY in 35mph winds the day of the shoot when we’d spent about an hour doing my hair😂❤️

This is all to say, I’m extremely grateful for every second I get to be Miss Mac Nut (as my friends like to call me LOL)🤎 Ke aloha NUI for all the support and aloha, for all the photos you folks send me when you see the boxes in the stores, and for every dollar you spend on a box with my face on it to buy omiyage for your loved ones🥹🤎 by @kanoelehua

recap of the sweetest day🌸🌺🌼🌷🍃

mahalo nui to my sisters, my bridesmaid besties, my parents, and ʻanakē Pualani for putting all of this together for me💗 they did EVERYTHING. From my sister planning everything, my mom sewing palaka pillow covers, Lei for providing the space, Uncle Gary drilling flower holders the morning of, ʻanakē Pua making all of the decor from SCRATCH, Megan fighting off aunties at the farmer’s market at 6am for all the anthuriums, Emily and Mykala planning the activities — I’m SO grateful for everyone who came together to surprise me🥺🥺

it was the most beautiful and wonderful day a bride could’ve asked for, and I’m so grateful to have been able to celebrate it with my girlies🤍 I’m so excited to be married to my kāne🥰 by @kanoelehua
