POSTS STORIES REELS

the night before the race, i had a dream that i crossed the finish line and saw 3:08 on the clock. seeing those numbers today proved something i’ve learned over the last few years: you are capable of doing hard things.

if the last few years have taught me anything, it’s that adversity isn’t the end of your story, it’s just the training ground. you can endure hard things, you can rebuild, and you can emerge better than before.

crossing this finish line wasn’t just a personal victory; it was a tribute to every hard lesson, every person who lifted me up, and a purpose so much bigger than just 26.2 miles. keep showing up for yourself. you’re stronger than you think.

and i want to thank the hundreds of people telling me through every mile to “keep smiling”, it became my anchor. ;)

thank you @cbusmarathon! next up, boston!

What it’s all about🤍

Going into the race I really didn’t know what to expect. I have learned that struggles don’t show up to stop you, they show up to shape you. There were moments I doubted myself and questioned what I was capable of but in the end I kept going.

I ended up running my FIRST half marathon (1:29:32.4) faster than I ever expected, something I truly didn’t know I had in me.

So grateful for the people who pushed me, supported me, and believed in me. This is just the beginning🤍 by @karenaustinn

Today I’m closing the chapter on my swimming career.

It wasn’t the way I pictured it when I first started. It was much more challenging than I ever expected, and there were times that tested me in ways I can’t even fully explain. I faced health battles, setbacks, and a lot of uncertainty, but I fought hard. Even when people couldn’t see it, I was fighting.

Swimming became both my biggest challenge and my safe place. It taught me how to be resilient and tough. It taught me how to push through pain, how to handle adversity, and how to stand back up when things knock you down.

This sport shaped me into more than just an athlete, it shaped me into the person I am. And for that, I’ll always be grateful.

Forever proud of the fight.

Thank you, swimming. by @karenaustinn
