POSTS STORIES REELS

♡ Are you reading anything spooky for the month?

Hi friends and happy #shelfiesunday! It’s been quite awhile, I’m so happy to be back! Lots has happened since we last spoke: had the baby in March, moved into a house in August, and I finally have my very own library I’ve been dreaming of. I’m still in the process of decorating it, but it’s a start!

What have you been reading? What’s been going on in you life? Catch me up, I want to know everything!

Some latests & currents from me:
🎧 audiobook: Dracula, full cast with Jonathan Bailey (help!!!)
🎨 manga: reread of Gentleman’s Alliance ✢ vol 1
📖 book: Lie With Me by Philippe Besson. If you’re looking for a short, but powerful story to wreck your feels look no further.

→ book: Unbroken Bonds by @jbreeauthor
→ manga: Ouran High School Host Club vol 2
→ buddy read: Swallowed By Night by @jeremeyhwrites with bestie @mangadaioh by @karilovesbooks

Hi friends ♥

Tell me something great that happened to you this week!

It’s been a long time and I have a good reason why: I have been insufferably tired my first trimester. Yes, we are expecting! 😄 but thankfully I’m not in my second trimester, so hopefully things get a bit easier 🤞🏼

After 2 miscarriages over around four years, we finally have our miracle baby. My due date is March 26, 2026. We should be hearing the news of what gender the baby is this week!

In reading news, I have many physical books started, but have honestly been loving the audiobook version of The Once and Future Witches by Alice E Harrow.

I miss you all and have tried to keep up as much as I can. ♥ by @karilovesbooks

If you could have a dragon of any color, what color would it be??

Oh gosh that’s a hard question 😂 I think lately with how I’m feeling mine might be an iridescent pink?

Soar to new heights with the gorgeously illustrated graphic novel adaptations of the #1 New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series from author Tui. T Sutherland and artist Mike Holmes. Talons of Power, the ninth installment in the graphic novel series

There are fifteen novels in the series, which the graphic novels are based adapted from, with book 16 coming March 3, 2026!

And for the FanWings who just can’t get enough, there are two special collections of Wings of Fire Legends, Darkstalker and Dragonslayer, that go back in time to give readers of glimpse of Pyrrhia through new eyes. The graphic novel adaptation of Darkstalker is available November 4, 2025!

Thanks so much to @scholastic for sending me copies of this series!

Be sure to read book one’s synopsis in the comments!

How much sleep do you normally get?

Mine tends to vary, but I’m also a person that functions better with more sleep.

I was finally able to finish my collection of this series and their beautiful sprayed edges! Without looking at the next slide, can you tell which one it is?

Happy Wednesday everyone! We’ve finally made it through the halfway point. Make sure you make today excellent! by @karilovesbooks

If you could have any book (released or not) in a special edition what would it be?

Hi friends! Took a tiny break from posting because it was just a lot and the news did not make it any better. Sure bookstagram is a fun place, but sometimes it also gets to be a lot when people are tone deaf to events around them.

I don’t hide behind neutrality. I don’t always post my views because sometimes it’s like screaming into a void. But I am tired and worried about what is happening around me in this country. There’s not a lot I can do about it either, which the helplessness is just as defeating.

Anyway I hope you all are having a lovely Sunday. Go do something for YOU and treat yourself! by @karilovesbooks

How many books did you read last month?

I read a grand total of 3! I think it’s my highest this year haha.

Happy July everyone! We get a short week this week for the 4th holiday. I’m very much looking forward to it.

Let’s remember to be good to one another! All it takes to make someone’s day is to be kind ☺️ by @karilovesbooks

What are you reading this weekend?

Happy #shelfiesunday! Today we’re gonna go to Bookmans so I can pick up a few books with the in store credit we have.

I also finished the Love Hypothesis AND Entity and both were 5 stars from me!

Have a wonderful Sunday! by @karilovesbooks

What is your current obsession?

I am currently obsessed with labubus, like many others 😂 I don’t know why I find them so cute… maybe it’s part of their backstory or maybe they’re just mischievous and I enjoy that. Regardless, they bring me joy and I’m all about that life.

You know what else I enjoy? Special edition books. If I had ALL the money it would be labubus and SE. Isn’t this edition of the Rose Bargain just divine? It’s so fitting.

It’s Friyay, friends! I hope everyone has something fun planned and or a great book to dive into. by @karilovesbooks

When is your birthday?

I’ve seen this birthstone stack going around and I finally remembered to do it! Mine is in September, so my birthstone is a sapphire.

How’s your reading going along? I’m like halfway through Love Hypothesis, and am planning to start Entity once I’m done!

Have a wonderful Wednesday! by @karilovesbooks

Who’s your favorite romance author? If you don’t read romance, what author should everyone read?

It’s so neat when you see indie books go trad, so of course I had to get my hands on this book! I’ve read it before, but I don’t think I appreciated it as much so I’m definitely doing a reread. I’ve read other books by Sierra and loved them so I’m pretty sure I’ll love this one too.

Otherwise I’m finally reading the Love Hypothesis! It’s my first Ali Hazelwood book… I know I KNOW I’m late to this. But it’s making me want to kick my feet and giggle so 🤭

Hope everyone has a good Monday! by @karilovesbooks

What are you reading this weekend?

I finished The Nightshade God last night and ohhhh my, if I could give it more than 5 stars it would get ALL the stars. Such an epic ending to an amazing series.

Yesterday was really hard. My boss’s husband (who was also my boss at one point) passed away. It was kind of suddenly? He’d been in the hospital almost all of June, but it just seemed like he regressed so quickly. So after it being one of the longest days I’ve experience in awhile, we took over some food and stuff for my boss, whom thankfully, is surrounded by loved ones.

So in short, this post is for David. We love you more than you know and miss you immensely 🩵 by @karilovesbooks

What books make you think of summer?

Truth be told, I really don’t like summer time. It’s just too hot out to do anything here in the desert. I like the idea of summer, usually thinking of back to when I was a kid and school was out. Where I grew up the grass was green, we could play in the sprinklers and have outside adventures.

The Rebel Blue Ranch series just screams summertime vibes to me. Some of it has to do with the beautiful covers and the other has to do with the story inside. I love the Ryder family and all of whom they entail, blood related or not. These books are so easy and fun to devour! I will read anything Lyla Sage puts out.
