From Buenos Aires to Germany, dance has always been my language.

I came here at 17 years old with a dream, and ballet shaped so much of who I am today — not only as a dancer, but as a person. After years on stage, what stays with me the most is not the roles or the titles, but the possibility to tell stories through movement.

Because for me, dance has never been only about technique. It’s about emotion, interpretation, and connection.

And I still love telling stories. by @karin.solana

Barrida 💃🏻

✨ Keep your axis stable.
✨ Maintain soft, continuous contact between the feet.
✨ Move from your partner’s lead, without pushing or forcing the movement.
✨ Keep your weight controlled and transfer it only when needed.

A smooth barrida starts with clear intention, good connection, and precise footwork.

Barrida technique ✨

For the woman, it’s all about keeping your axis, relaxing the free leg and letting the movement follow the lead.

Stay grounded, keep the foot connected to the floor, and don’t push — let the barrida happen naturally.

Simple, controlled, and connected. ❤️#karinsolana #tangoargentino #barrida by @karin.solana

Helicopter | Technique

The key to a controlled Helicopter lies in axis stability, dissociation, and precise leg articulation.

💃 Maintain a stable supporting leg and an active core.
💃 Initiate the rotation from the torso, allowing the free leg to follow the circular trajectory.
💃 Keep the free leg relaxed yet controlled, with a clear extension through the knee and foot.
💃 Maintain continuous energy throughout the movement, avoiding unnecessary tension in the hips and shoulders.

The goal is to achieve a smooth, circular movement with precision, balance, and musicality.

Technique creates control. Control creates elegance.
