When you dial 9-11... they answer.
And a Berks County dispatcher who answered calls for more than 30 years is one of this year's Red Cross heroes. Over the next two weeks.. we'll introduce you to this year's heroes from Berks County and the Lehigh Valley as we partner with @redcrossgpa to present the Pennsylvania Rivers Celebration of Heroes. Our series begins with telecommunicator Bill Shuman, who helped saved the day and the life of a Berks County firefighter.. when he had just minutes left in his air tank.
