I don’t train the way I did in my 20s anymore.

At 42, I’m not just training to look good. I’m training to live well in my body.

I want energy.
Strong bones.
Strong muscles.
Flexibility.
Mobility.
And a body that doesn’t feel stiff every time I get up.

That’s why my workouts look different now.

I still lift weights, but I combine strength + mobility, using resistance while moving through a full range of motion — sometimes focusing on one muscle group, sometimes working the whole body.

Because I don’t just want to be strong.

I want to move well.

I want to be able to travel, play with my kids, carry things, get on the floor, get back up… and keep doing all of it as I get older.

I’m not training for the body I had at 25.

I’m training for the body I want at 60, 70, 80. 🤍

And honestly, that feels like a much better reason to train.

Dreams don’t expire 💎 by @karlaortiz______

We can’t turn back time.

We can’t go back to 25. And honestly, I don’t want to.

But we can choose what we do with the body we have today.

We can love it.
We can take care of it.
We can make it stronger.
We can keep it moving.

We can take care of ourselves now so that the woman we become in 10, 20, 30 years can still feel strong, capable and alive.

We can’t change the past. But we can love ourselves enough today to take care of our future. 🤍 by @karlaortiz______

Mamas, want sculpted arms, a lifted booty, and a stronger, tighter-looking core? This Pilates sequence is for you! ✨

🔥 What this movement targets:
• Glutes — for a lifted, sculpted booty
• Core & lower abs — for strength and better abdominal control
• Arms & triceps — for stronger, more defined arms
• Shoulders — for upper-body strength and definition
• Hamstrings — for stronger, more sculpted legs
• Hip stabilizers — for balance and control

The magic is in the slow, controlled movements. You’re using your own body weight to challenge multiple muscle groups at once.

No heavy weights. No complicated equipment. Just intentional movement to build a strong, feminine, athletic body. 🤍

Pilates Shake, Babe! 🤍

Muscle fatigue: When some muscle fibers get tired, your nervous system activates other fibers to help, causing that shaking sensation.

Waking up sleepy muscles: Pilates works deep muscles and stabilizers that we don’t usually use in everyday life. When they activate, they may start to shake!

Mind-body connection: The shaking is literally your brain and muscles learning to communicate better.

The bottom line: It means you’re challenging your body, stepping out of your comfort zone, and working toward getting stronger! by @karlaortiz______

Today’s dinner is perfection packed in nutrients good greens good fats I personally cause it’s my dinner didn’t put any rice cakes or bread. I use the lettuce but if you use the bread or the rice cake is perfect for earlier in the morning or in the afternoon. by @karlaortiz______

You should try it and let me know if you did 💪🏻. This is one of my favorite stretches. ✨ by @karlaortiz______
