Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays because it’s just about good food, good friends, family, and reflection on what we are thankful for. This Thanksgiving, my husband and I have two very special reasons to feel as thankful as we do this year- Our twins! Coming in March! I’m going to be a 39 year old teen mom! Happy Thanksgiving, yall! 🍁🍂🦃🤰🏽 by @katanafatale

The easiest, most honest, “Yes”. Yes, I will marry the man who turned my quiet, inner most wishes and wants into my every day reality. I love you more than love, @oporto_hairmaster . by @katanafatale

Whoever invented October really knew what they were doing! We had a particularly sunny and dry October which meant we got to extend our time out in nature before we hibernate for the winter. This is our first holiday season as a family and we are just so excited. I don’t have many photos to share because most involve my kids who I don’t share on socials, BUT let me say they made the cutest Wednesday Addams and Baby Addams for their first Halloween. 🎃 Speaking of firsts, hell hath frozen over and ya girl got her first permit to drive. Sorry to all the future curbs that “came out of nowhere”. Beep! Beep! Motherhood makes you conquer fears and this (driving) was a long standing one. Quite proud of myself! by @katanafatale

Do I remember the 21st night of September when I was born? No, but I do remember this year’s 21st night of September because I turned the big 4-0 and spent it with my best friend/husband and my 6-month-old twins. September overall was filled with nature, good food, good friends, and lots of quality family time. I have mixed feelings about entering my 40s, but overall, I’m looking forward to the next decade! by @katanafatale

August, you betrayed me. You took my dog from me, you took my step father…
But, still life persists. Thank goodness for memories. Hopeful for September. by @katanafatale

Hey June! It was an earthy, simple, but joyous month for the Oporto family. ☀️🌱 by @katanafatale

May was busy and blurry! We are getting longer stretches of sleep, so that’s been so nice. The twins had their two month vaccines and their world is now cautiously opening up more. They met their great grandmother and great aunt, and I was able to introduce my husband to my out of state family, as well. So, though blurry, I was able commit to memory some special times with family, like my Nana’s visit. They even watched the twins so we could go on a date! Super grateful for May. Honorary mention: some really great Spring weather. by @katanafatale

Happy MILF Day! Happy 2 months to my twins, Luca y Liliana. The hardest, yet, most profound, joyous 2 months of my life. I’m so honored and grateful to be their mama. Here’s to the rest of my life loving them. by @katanafatale

I took advantage of a rare, sunny, winter day and documented my late stage 3rd trimester while I still had the capacity to do so! Honorary mention: Curly Sue 🐶 by @katanafatale

I had my dream baby shower over the weekend, hosted by my dear friend @thevaleriedeville. The theme was Practical Magic (note the 🪲 detail??) to celebrate the greatest lights ☀️🌙 in our lives- our twins! Special thank you to @mlenkman7 @nlenkman @houseofcoco @bruc3 for helping to make this dream become a reality! Thank you to all my friends who could make it! Some flew in from out of state, drove in from out of town, or just made time in their busy lives to celebrate and support our new family. Thank you, thank you, thank *you*! by @katanafatale

$January, I love you, but girl you’re LONG. I started the year off with a 2nd trimester decision to perm my hair (learn from me), cut off the length that didn’t take, and between the horror and fear ICE has brought to so many, but especially to immigrants and their families, like mine, I tried to find pockets of joy and celebration of my impending motherhood. I took a breastfeeding and newborn class to help me feel more prepared, even my mom took a grandparent class. How sweet is that? Anyway, I know we love to say, “fuck ICE”, but can we please do more? Share resources, reach out to your immigrant friends, go protest, call your local officials, make contact with your neighbors and come up with a plan for your neighborhood and the immigrants who live among you. We can say “fuck ice” all day, but it’s just a trendy quote at this point. Immigrants and Americans are being killed. My husband is huge and tall and so frightened they’ll use unnecessary force on him. I’m scared they’ll take him, scared they’ll take my babies as bait…I can’t talk about January and the New Year without including the pain and fear it’s brought ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, but let’s give it up for new life and the bonds of family and community, too. We are holding multitudes! 🖤 by @katanafatale$
