When I'm trying to slog my way through the early bits of the last book of my trilogy and new ideas keep trying to turn my head. 😵‍💫 These are the scenes I've been dying to write for two years if I can settle down and write the connective tissue. Stop distracting me! by @kate.burns.authorpage
I'm proud and excited to announce that Seduced by Promises was selected as the second place winner for the Domestic Thriller and Suspense Thriller categories in the Fall 2026 BookFest awards. There are too many people to thank but especially my family, my publisher and editors, my readers, any the team at The BookFest for saying yes to a debut author. This is only the beginning. by @kate.burns.authorpage

Nothing about this craft is linear. I have a clear vision on major plot points that will take Macy through to the end of her story, and the ending point for book two has been through some evolution. I developed my idea, but both my alpha reader and I agreed, it didn't have quite the impact I hoped for. So back to the drawing board I went. And an alternate ending was born. I did some nip/tucks on the original, which I'm much happier with now. Which ending will hit the proverbial shelves? Stay tuned 😇 by @kate.burns.authorpage
