Hey guys 👋

It feels like we’re finally settling into our fall routine and the boys’ new schools. Work has been going great for both of us, and Gary’s band feels like it’s gaining some real momentum. I also joined the Waxhaw Women’s Club and Waxhaw PTO last month because apparently we’re not slowing down anytime soon 😂

There’s something magical about this time of year in Waxhaw. It’s the season we fell in love with North Carolina four years ago. The weather is perfect, there’s always something to do, and the community makes it feel even more special.

Life is busy, but it’s rich, full, and fun. We’re living in the golden years. ✨

Being a working mom 700 miles from family sometimes feels like drowning, but it’s hard to complain when your plate is full of the life you worked so hard to build. The goal was to eat, after all. 🍴🤍 by @kate_umstetter

I am so proud of Noah for who he’s becoming. We are all excitement today for making new friends and learning to read. Happy first day of Kindergarten to my first baby! I love you big boy! This is just the beginning! ♥️ by @kate_umstetter

My wedding vows said “I love you for who you are now and the man you will become”. 10 years later celebrating who we’ve grown into. I can easily say we would be super proud of this life. Happy 10th birthday to the Umstetter family ♥️ checked off another beach on the bucket list ✅ by @kate_umstetter

Marriage is a constant test of patience, courage, character and faith. It is crucial that you find the right partner in order for it to really work. At 23 and 21, we were just kids, but we knew what we wanted - what each other wanted. Getting married so young gave us the opportunity to grow together, to find ourselves and to help each other find our missing pieces. We’ve been there for each other through times of joy and celebration, through times of grief and loss, through times of crisis and change. We’ve battled with each other as well as for each other. Everything we’ve learned, we’ve learned together. Our love is stronger for it. We’ve watched each other grow and blossom into the family we are today - and as I reflect on the last ten years of marriage to my best friend, my other half, my soul mate, I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the life of unconditional love and adventure that we set out to establish for ourselves a decade ago. And as the years get shorter, I’ll only feel it greater than the year before.

There’s still so much more to do. 🥂. Cheers to a life of joy and wonder. Happy 10 year anniversary @kate_umstetter by @kate_umstetter

Funny how a picture from just a few months ago can feel like it was taken in a totally different era. 👀
My bestie @nickcashjones 😘 sent me this glamour shot from an event we worked together back in March, and it made me realize just how much life has changed since then. I’m so grateful for all the growth and the amazing relationships I’ve formed along the way.
Happy summer, friends! 🤍✨ by @kate_umstetter
