My latest passion project. 💪🤰🏼👶

Strong Mamas Club @advhqhenley is for women who are PREGNANT - and want some advice/help with their training and women who are POSTPARTUM - and are getting back to exercise after they’ve had their baby! (Please do bring your baby along with you if you want to train but don’t want to leave your little one!)

The workouts are designed to be safe for where YOU are at and modifications are given throughout the class based on general guidelines and your specific needs! It is a more relaxed session where you can take things at your own pace and chat to other women in the same situation as you. Give us a message if this is exactly what you’ve been looking for or share with someone who you know needs this! 💕 by @kateleiper_adv

Heading into the final week of the 23/24 @wickeduk cast with 50 Elphabas under my belt! 😊💚🧹

Big Weekend!

Back in the park with Nancy 😍🥹 (although did not do any of the chasing around - @alicrosswell was there for that!)

And the introduction of some more movements - under the incredible guidance of @optimist_physiotherapy_henley

Glute bridges, Box Squats, Single Leg Squats, Calf Raises, Back Extensions… we’re on the up! 🔥💪🙌 by @kateleiper_adv

“When your legs don’t work like they used to before” 🙃

GENUINELY one of the songs that came on the radio through the headphones during my MRI… gotta laugh!

4 weeks ago - I was feeling pretty strong

3 weeks ago - I spent an entire week in agony, some entire days face down on the floor as it was the most comfy position…

Now - I still can’t really feel my left foot, I wake up in quite a lot of pain but this is my daily “exercise” alongside trying to keep up with/control of a toddler

I hope that in another 3 weeks time I’ll have even more improvement. And, I don’t know how many weeks it’ll take, but I know I’ll get back to feeling strong again. Most importantly - I will be able to take Nancy to the park again soon.

I can’t bloody wait and I will NOT take it for granted.

These last few weeks have felt like an eternity.. but it’s been 3 weeks by @kateleiper_adv

Wowza. It’s been a week.

Last week I was feeling strong… I hit two of my postpartum/2026 goals and I had been consistently hitting 3/4 workouts a week - I was BUZZING.

My goals were - Toes to Bar ✅ (questionable technique but my toes touched the bar a few times) and 3 sets of 10 Tricep Press Ups ✅

Cut to now.. I can’t sit or stand up without excruciating pain, I have to eat on my hands and knees because it’s the most comfortable upright position and thank god I was working on those tricep press ups because I’ve needed them to get me off the floor without flexing/extending my spine and I mostly crawl around and have to lower myself very slowly to the floor.

Long story long - Hip and back pain started to creep in on Saturday, it got so bad I went to A&E on Sunday, they couldn’t do anything except give me Codeine.. Codeine didn’t touch the sides and on Monday morning I nearly blacked out from the pain… so I went to the GP - they thought I had a muscle strain and gave me muscle relaxants and anti inflammatories but I still couldn’t stand, couldn’t sit, couldn’t hold Nancy… Tuesday we switched to nerve medication and stronger opiates ✌🏻🥴. The pain was slightly better but I still couldn’t really sit or stand… so I decided to speed up the process and get a private MRI on Thursday…

I found out this morning I’ve got a disc extrusion (slipped disc) and nerve impingement (basically sciatica) so, it’s not gonna be a quick road to recovery and after a long ole recovery from having a baby I’m feeling a little bit hard done by BUT… we go again.

This week has made me reflect on how lucky we are to move our bodies and how much we take it for granted. I can’t wait to get back to it again and rebuild an even stronger more resilient body so that I NEVER have to say no to picking up/cuddling my baby.

Bring it on. 💪

But for now, you’ll find me lying down at home - feeling the kind of woozy you feel on a night out when you go to the toilet and realise you’ve had one too many 🥴😂 by @kateleiper_adv

TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY

Mums look after everyone else

We look after them

#ADailyVictory #StrongMumas by @kateleiper_adv

Strong Mamas Club 💪

There are 10,000+ minutes in a week. Most of those minutes - Mums with little ones - dedicate to everyone/everything else.

This is 45 minutes for the Mums. To do something for themselves!

Today the babies got the memo - no crying, only a little bit of feeding and one poosplosion - but we had it covered and the Mamas didn’t miss a single rep or set! They absolutely killed it!

BOOM.

#strongmamasclub by @kateleiper_adv

After years of battling with myself and trying to change my mindset I have finally had an epiphany… I’m so f***ing bored of wanting my body to look different.

I’m healthy, I love exercise, I eat well, I have a life, I have a baby and I absolutely despise calorie deficits.

The realisation for me was - “If I look like this in 10/20 years time - I’ll be happy - so why aren’t I happy now?!”

So with that in mind - my training, my eating, my choices - are now for longevity and maintenance. This mind shift has already changed the way I train and the way I eat for the better.

Most importantly - I do not want Nancy to waste even half the time/energy that I have on worrying about what her body looks like - she needs me to set an example and that starts now! 💪❤️

Very proud that Nancy will grow up with this view as the norm. Epic place, epic people, epic eggs-ample to be setting 😉 (See what I did there!)

Happy Easter Everyone 🐣 by @kateleiper_adv

Looking back over the last 10 years - it’s been a crazy ride - but with my new role at @advhqhenley I am finally aligned with my values and I am exactly where I want to be. 💪

For anyone who doesn’t know me and wants a (not so) brief glimpse into how I got here… let’s take it back to 2014.

2014: First performing job on a cruise - young, skinny but NOT healthy at all; smashing cardio, drunk a lot of the time and paranoid about the weekly weigh ins in my contract 🙃

2015: Qualified as a PT and worked for the incredible @billystanley_coach in Essex - starting with outdoor boot camps, then into his first unit (which is unrecognisable now!)

2016: Booked Evita and Jersey Boys - toured the UK, Europe, Dubai and China - loved it but needed the coaching buzz so throughout both contracts ran bootcamps for my colleagues and dragged them to the gym with me.

2018: Back from touring - living in London - saying yes to everything - working at Sweat It, Project Fit, Frame and more. Exhausted but loving it - and still auditioning 😅!

2019: Booked We Will Rock You.. back out on tour, 8 shows a week but coming back to coach at weekends when I could!

2020: COVID. Tough for the performing industry and the fitness industry.. but was very lucky to land a corporate job! Still trying to motivate my colleagues virtually with zoom workouts & accountability channels!

2022: Back on tour with Rock You… and then I got my dream performing job - Cover Elphaba in Wicked in the West End. 🧹

2023: Started in Wicked and joined ADV as a squaddie!!

2024: Still in Wicked when a little bump appeared.. 🤰🏼

2025: The little bump developed into a big bump and Nancy was born 👶! I was determined to stay strong and wanted to help other women stay strong perinatally… so @mrslubbs_adv and I started Strong Mamas Club at ADV!

2026: My new dream job opened up for me at ADV. I’m buzzing to be a part of ADV’s future and honoured to be amongst its incredible coaches & members!
