Mimi comes home. by @katelroy

August 17 2026 was the day I had to let go of his paws. I see Mimi everywhere. I remember his habits, his meow, his eyes...
To all who lost your pet, how to cope with this so heartbroken feeling?
Mimi you were the reason I started @shadesofpurrs. Now my art is here, but you're not.
Forever my baby.

I can't believe I have to make the hardest decision to put down my senior cat Mimi.
Mimi is my first cat I adopted in the US. He inspired me to start to paint cats. When he got glaucoma, I started my business to fund for his eye surgery. I received so much love & support that I've been expanding to TNR, caring for stray cats in my neighborhood.
Mimi's health declined fast along with FIV virus. How can I face my home without Mimi anymore!!! I can see him everywhere, I remember every meow, every silly thing he made.
Thank you for reading my tearful post. If you have any advice, please let me know, I will be so much appreciated. by @katelroy
