I was browsing over my old work and came across a folder of all my old still life’s, all of them are between 3-5 years old at this point, crazy how time flys! It’s been a long time since I’ve done some still life’s/studies and I feel like it’s about time to revisit them to see how I’ve improved and changed over these past few years. #art #drawing #painting #acrylic #acrylicpainting #oilpainting #oldwork #marker #drawing #stilllife #stilllifepainting by @katetburke
2nd BFA gallery show painting and one of my favorites Kate Burke, us three, 2024, oil on canvas, 30” x 40” I thought a lot about growing up watching Atla as a child with my older brother and sister, very much so feeling nostalgic, a little sad, and grateful to have had something that brought us together . . . #atla #avatarthelastairbender #oilpainting #art #fanart by @katetburke

What’s the best bug? I took a couple different photos under different lighting to try and show the light pink background color correctly! it looks very warm under indoor lighting and very cool toned in the natural light so it’s kinda hard to strike a balance. #stagbeetle #elephantbeetle #bug #beetle #art #painting #acrylicpainting #cartoonstyle #bugpainting #drawing by @katetburke
20’16 acrylic painting done between the hours of 1am-4am last night. Theres two series of fun paintings I want to get more work done on right now, Series 1: paintings meant for practice focused on backgrounds to combine in the future with my preferred subject matter (figural/portraiture) Series 2: Bugs, literally just cute little bugs for my own enjoyment #painting #background #landscape #wip #paint #acrylicpainting #colorful #drawing #art #artist by @katetburke
