I am in the November 2023 issue of @real_simple magazine! The Article series I am included in is called "How We Live: The Mindset" (pages 54-58) During today's reset routine, I decided to take moment to finally read this month's issue of Real Simple and truly digest that one of my 2023 goals had been fulfilled not once but twice!!! My first feature with #realsimple was in February 2023 where I discussed some game changing advice for the Spring. When @real_simple reached out to me to lend my expertise to their readers again, I jumped at the opportunity! I also jumped in the grocery store when I saw it on display. The magazine is truly a great read and I'm not just saying that because I am in it! 🤣 You can find Real Simple Magazine everywhere magazines are sold! They will be on display until 11/17/2023 so don't wait to snag yours!✨️ by @katherinediazpicott

We've been waiting for this moment. I can't believe it's been three weeks since our official move...and while moving comes with its stressors, it has been truly a joy cultivate a home that aligns with our vision for our life. In the next few weeks I will be "unveiling " how we unpack, organize, renovate + design our new home, our first home. I can't wait to share with you! We used to pray for times like this I remember during our undergraduate years @olddominionu, Stephon and I used to drive around the neighborhoods near the campus looking at property we wanted to buy. I remember how invested we were. From vetting the neighborhoods to picking the color of the front door. It's such a blessing that we get to make those decisions for our house now and I am so excited to share this journey with all of you. God is so good. 🙌🏽 . . . . #blacklovedoc #blacklovepage #blackloveexists #browngirlblogs #luvblacklove #militaryfamily #blacklove #goarmy #armywifelife #militaryspouse #blackhomeownershipmatters #firsttimehomebuyers #homerenovation #homereno #HGTV #reels #picturepicott #collegesweethearts #odublackalumni by @katherinediazpicott

Today marks the last load of laundry I will do at our current home. 😮 It seems so surreal that we are homeowners. I think even more so because we haven't moved in yet. With renovations on schedule to be completed this weekend my excitement and anxiousness has increased greatly. Tell me, do you think I am more excited about the decorating or the organizing? #homeinspiration #homedecorideas #homeorganization #organizedhome #newhomerenovations #homedesignideas #firsttimehomeowners #columbiamaryland #maryland #hocomd #Howardcountymaryland by @katherinediazpicott

I am so grateful that I get to do life with this person. I am still in awe that we bought a house... well a mortgage but nonetheless a house 🤣. With us paying off over $86K debt, our goal was to purchase a home, cash. However with the way the market was going and with everything still in the air with military life, we decided to get a mortgage. While it was not our first choice, it was the best choice for us. Marriage is filled with choices and it requires selflessness. It requires a shift from doing what's best for just yourself to choosing what is best for both you and your partner. Stephon, I am grateful for you and I am glad I get to choose you every day. 😘 #love #blacklove #blackhomebuyers #homebuyers #militaryfamily #valoan #marylandrealestate #maryland by @katherinediazpicott
