Hi guys. I’ve been doing some Art again after a 1/4 century break so have some ceramic plates at @messumswest. The title of my plates is ‘In no particular order. Two plates, two sentences, one conversation. “Katie uses words & clay to create objects that bring our attention to how ordinary conversations have an extraordinary unsaid presence. If this presence is real then it’s this reality that is the artwork” Plates with Purpose Exhibition Works can be viewed and reserved online from Tuesday 20th February, although preference will be given to buyers in the building on the opening preview night of 1 March. ONLINE PREVIEW Tuesday 20 Feb Register interest for Plates with Purpose messums.org private viewing room to view online. PREVIEW Friday 1 March 6pm EXHIBITION Saturday 2 March - 29 April 10am 250 plates will be displayed with 40% of the sales going to support two valuable charities @hopeandhomesforchildren @david.nott.foundation The exhibition started with a quote in Gabrielle Rifkind’s book ‘The Fog of Peace’ which starts: “We are most likely to understand more about the smell of politics and human behaviour if we start at the kitchen table, and, according to Hans Blix, the wise ex-head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, peaceful relations between states ‘can and must be practiced both at the conference table and the kitchen table” #artexhibition #ceramicssale #plateswithpurpose #ceramicsuk #messumswest #messumslondon #messumswiltshire #messumsgallery #artistsoninstagram #art #tablemanners by @katie.sargent_

This week Dave( Grumpy) would have been 85. . We thought of him lots by going on windy walks, hanging around fields of mushrooms & visiting very old churches. Ellyn ( Dave’s first grandchild) brought Cozmo into the planet too. by @katie.sargent_
