Hello!
A little artwork here, a little magic there. ✨
POSTS STORIES REELS
I finally finished this funny little piece. Perhaps it should be yours? Measures 24” X 24.5”. Mixed media and antique found objects on panel. For sale in my Etsy shop-link in bio! 💕🐎 #mixedmedia #foundobjectart #vintagestyle #horseribbons #horseriding #theconstantgatherer #katierunnelsart #scadalum #vintagelove by @katie_runnels
I couldn’t help myself. Also, still on hold for selling my lamps via Instagram so I guess I’ll just start putting them on here for sale old school style. Just message me if interested! These babies are made from scratch with wire and paper, paper mache, and then paper clay covered in epoxy clay! Then comes the treasures that i’ve collected for years or just last week at the Ohio antique fair. In any case it’s all vintage and handmade and therefore one-of-a-kind! The only thing not made by me is the lamp hardware and the shade. Thanks to @snakeheadvintage for all their help with figuring the lamp parts out! This one measures 21” tall from top of finial to bottom. The shade measures 8” wide x 7” tall. Lamp is 4.74” wide. Lamp hardware is antique bronze. Contact @shopscad to purchase! And if you’ve read this far, God love you. 😘 by @katie_runnels
I was finally able to list a few new things in my Etsy shop today! It’s been a minute. 💕💕 Bubblegum Exotic Girl with Bird. 2022 Mixed Media Assemblage with Vintage Found Objects. by @katie_runnels
Here are some photos from our trip to Round Top, Texas last weekend. It was a welcome diversion but we proudly kept our #VoteTalarico stickers on as we waded through the Hill Country. Keep up the good fight, dear friends! by @katie_runnels
While husband is away, make the bed and share it on the gram! I’ve long adored the work of my friend @trishandersenart and her three tufted works in our bedroom make me so happy every day! I am so grateful! ✨💚🧶 Curtains by @hableland ✨ by @katie_runnels
I just had a fast and furious visit with my sisters in Austin, Tx and had to stop in at my favorite @uncommonobjects! I found the yummiest vintage painting by a Texas artist and I thought I was taking it home but it looked too good in my sister’s house so it had to stay! #shoplocal #austinantiques by @katie_runnels

I’ve made another lamp in what I’m calling my Curious Specimen series. I’ll post it in my shop tomorrow. Right now I’m just enjoying it like I’m keeping it.🤗 The front of the lamp features found objects from my stash and one tiny item on the bottom, a golden gem shape, from @toddoldhamgaragesale 😘 Lampshade comes with and handmade by @bypoppyuk 😍 https://www.etsy.com/listing/4587435828/curious-specimens-art-found-assemblage by @katie_runnels

Missing our mother fiercely today on what would be her 80th birthday. We were so lucky to call her ours. Xo by @katie_runnels
Sending a love note out to my mother for sharing her love of zinnias with me. I finally planted my own this summer and they have brought so much joy! Shoutout to @floretflower and @edenbrothers for their incredible varieties. Sending love to @moondog_farm for all her seed starting wisdom. The pokeweed is an added bonus to play with. 💚💚💚 by @katie_runnels
If there’s one thing our cafes are not it’s bland and boring! From our customers leaving their mark with graffiti and our local artists’ art and design to our founder’s flea market finds (and personality!), our cafes are the coolest, most colorful places to eat! Speaking of eats, our food is pretty colorful, too (Katalina’s Purple Craze Hash, anyone?) Art & design: @lydiawicks_artist @helenjoannemyers @rickyegonzalez @katie_runnels by @katie_runnels
