Happy First Anniversary mi amor 11.09.2023 💍❤️🇵🇹

It was the happiest day celebrating our ‘wildly romantic’ love story in Portugal. Our first year of marriage may have ended with our long pursuit of parenthood coming true, but it’s definitely not been an easy year. We’ve given away more of us and ourselves than we imagined. But now, as we enter our second year of marriage, we start to rebuild our life as a family. For that, I am grateful, excited and I thank you every day for being the best partner on this crazy journey.

Classical 🎻 Vs classic rock 🎸Which do you prefer?

Can’t believe it’s already been one month today since we married. Still eagerly awaiting the photos. For now, thank you for these excellent videos @graeme.halling managed to get past Uncle Ray 😂

Wow!! A sneak peak at the “official photos” of our fun filled, beautiful wedding day in Portugal. I can’t wait to see the rest 😅😅

On Monday 11.09.2023 some 50 of our friends and family came together to celebrate at this stunning 18th century quinta, nestled among endless rows of trees that stretch all the way downhill to the Atlantic Ocean 😍

It was truly like a dream. I never thought I’d get married and I never thought I’d say a wedding was the best day of my life (I’ve been to Everest 😂) but it really was. It was absolutely beyond amazing, we’re still on cloud nine. The love I feel for this man is boundless, and to have my favourite people together to witness that and our lifelong commitment felt a true privilege. I’m so grateful for it all.

We’re buzzing with how it went, it all came together as we hoped. And better. Most importantly, the day reflected our personalities and our relationship, being crazy in love but never taking ourselves too seriously. We tried to mix romance and humour and sometimes it was just downright silly, like quoting Kiss, Rick Astley, Elton John and Bon Jovi in our vows, or walking away to Sweet Child of Mine. And then our ridiculous party entrance to Right Said Fred, I’m too Sexy. But we also did not hold back with our BIG soppy emotions!!

I adored how much our love was seen and felt by our guests. And also shared by them. Seeing everyone we care about just have a great time and smile with us all day is a blessing. My WhatsApp is now full with photos of beautiful, smiling happy faces. Lush!!!

We are beyond thankful so many people came to Portugal to make this two day celebration so incredible. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Muito obrigada!

And to Patrick, I was made for loving you baby… and I’ll love you always!

Flashback to summer and relaxing at this stunning boutique hotel in Fisterra, Spain, at the end of our Camino hike. Was so chill and dreamy with 10/10 decorations and garden 🌸🌼

Summer, holidays, blue skies….why’d you have to go away?

Snaps from a fantastic weekend off grid in Devon celebrating a very special friend’s 40th 🌈🪩🌼

Was Logan’s first proper party and he did so well, tearing up the dance floor and entertaining everyone.

I’m chuffed that both the camera and the toddler made it home in one piece 😂

GNR 10k ❤️ My first postpartum race, and actually the first race generally in like 8 years 😮

Another activity to celebrate our shared year of the big 4️⃣0️⃣ Patrick official time 54:31 and me 56:57 (Garmin said 56:03). That’s a whole 10 mins slower than my old PB, but that was a lifetime ago. At least that’s how it feels.

I sometimes feel like a different woman, in a different body and it’s hard. Today was hard. Trying to remind myself, that it’s taken a whole load of patience, tears, and rehab to get this far. And actually when I look back over the last 3 years from pregnancy to now, it’s a fecking mad journey. The stuff they don’t warn you about ey 🫣🫣

Anyway, well done @pat_rickr1 you beat me this time, even with that 10kg beard 😉😎 proud of you too!

Came back with more than just memories - I lost my tattoo virginity.

Went for something to mark our 40ths and our first family adventure, hiking part of the Camino de Santiago. The iconic Shell marking the way, sun rays giving light, a wave for the Murphy Sea Warrior lineage and 3 little birds for our family. We actually saw 3 birds of prey flying together on the final day of walking too, which was pretty awesome. Love that it looks like sunset, as we are definitely sunset chasers. Morning worms forever safe from us.

The lines are actually immaculately straight, just distorted a bit with the second skin.

Some snaps celebrating Fathers Day, summer solstice and a walk to Cabo Fisterra, “the end of the world”.

Absolutely beautiful beaches here in Galicia ☀️🌊

17.06.26 ☀️🇪🇸⛰️We made it!! An incredible 10 days hiking on the Camino Ingles.

We’ve added up 150km on the Camino, plus 10.5km running and more walking off the trail, bringing us to 200km. Total ascent 3120m, which is the height of Zermatt, Switzerland.

Naturally, Logan was fast asleep for the big arrival 😅 But he did so well walking sections and fully understood the assignment to push the stroller across Spain! Grateful to see next to no Galician rain, but boy those uncharacteristic high 30 temps were hard when chugging 12kg backpacks and a 20kg pram load uphill on tarmac with no shade. Hardest bit by far was the evenings with (sometimes) no cot and (always) no highchair. Dinner time wrestling arms are shaping up 💪👊

All things considered, this was a rewarding way for us to celebrate our 40ths and 2 years of lovely Logan. For me personally, it was a mental acceptance that pregnancy was hard on my body and recovering from birth, even harder and laced with complications. But my body IS still capable and while still on a journey, I’m proud to have got this far.

And now time to “relax” ☀️🕶️ @pat_rickr1

Can’t believe it’s already been one week since the most epic, beautiful and hilarious weekend celebrating four 40ths and a 40+1 in the stunning Peak District, right as the heat wave kicked in ☀️🍹💃🏼

Outside of work and family, I often feel lonely and like I’ve lost my tribe, which isn’t true it’s just that there’s now 840 miles separating us between London all the way up to Edinburgh and over to Ireland. I think we’ve all agreed it’s imperative this becomes an annual thing because there’s no better feeling than laughing so hard your face hurts and your bladder is at risk 😅
