Shout out to director @sergio.rubira & his team @teatenerife (TEA museum Tenerife) for rocking canons and demonstrating how art historically driven collection shows are urgent today. Delighted to work with them on “Whilst We Are Savage” a show that starts in the 16th c) with the Spanish Conquista that apparently “extinguished”Indigenous Guanche life, taking us through pilot experiments into colonial modernity in the islands, into a complex present, and interlinks the archipelago with its African roots, and shared histories of Caribbean colonialism. 80 artists and authors, 5 centuries, 4 continents. Living proof that high level art historians like Sergio combine inspired leadership, effective management with cultural diplomacy and visionary thinking. Its been delightful to collaborate with the brilliant TEA team: @nestor_delgado_morales @ondacortalab @castanedalejandro and Tenerife scholar @robertogilhernandez by @katyagarciaanton

In Museum PARCUM opende Verweven Landschappen.
