Daddy, how do I write a tribute to you when my heart is still struggling to understand that you are gone? How do I put into words a pain that feels too heavy for my chest to carry? How do I say goodbye to someone I never imagined I would have to live without?

Daddy, I am still in denial. A part of me keeps hoping this is a terrible dream, that somehow I will wake up and everything will be as it was. I keep struggling with the thought that I will never see your face again, never hear your voice, never sit beside you, and never look at you and call you Daddy. How can someone who has been part of my world for so long suddenly become a memory I must hold on to?

Now, I must learn to live with a silence I never asked for and an emptiness I do not know how to fill. The world will continue moving, people will continue living, and days will continue passing, but a part of me will forever remain in the days when you were still here.

I pray that Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgives your shortcomings, overlooks your sins, grants light and peace to your grave, expands your resting place, and grants you Al-Jannah Firdaus. May Allah receive you with mercy beyond anything this world could offer you. And when the pain of missing you becomes too much for me to bear, may He grant me sabr and comfort my heart in ways only He can.

Sleep peacefully, my father. May Allah keep you in His mercy until the day we meet again. 🕊️🕊️🕊️ by @kaw.tharr__
