My favorite hobby 🤣😴

If I don’t record an idea as soon as I have it, it’s gone. There is no “I’ll remember later.”

My best ideas show up in the shower or while I’m getting ready for work, my hands busy, clock ticking, and lately, brain foggy from every allergy med known to man.
So, I dictate to my phone 🤷🏻‍♀️

My dictated notes are a hot damn mess!

Some people would rather wait and think it through at a desk, but for me, a rambling note I can fix beats a perfect idea I can’t remember.

Then, when I have time at my keyboard, I add these notes to my outline in bold red font.

Not every idea makes it in as I’m editing, because some come to me in a half-asleep, delirious state 🥴

But a lot of them have been my best ideas! 💡

So, which are you: “get it out right now, no matter what” or “if it’s that good, I’ll remember it later”?

(Yes, even the idea for this post was a dictated note 😂 ) by @kaylawritessometimes

For the record, I *do* pull for the Chiefs because of this ^^^ QUEEN, but I laugh every single time he misses one. by @kaylawritessometimes

Also me: look at this stack of mail that’s been piling up for 6 months

The procrastination spiral is so real. The struggle of balancing writing with social media marketing, then seeing a *squirrel* and suddenly, the whole day is gone 😅

Calling all indie authors, especially newbies. Where are you? The algorithm is hiding everyone. We don’t have to like the same books or genres, we have writing in common. Let’s be friends and support each other! by @kaylawritessometimes

Looking for small bookstagram accounts for book recommendations! Search will only show me the bigger accounts, and I would rather follow a smaller one ☺️ by @kaylawritessometimes

I have NEVER been able to leave a bad book review 😆 if I didn’t like a particular book, I don’t rate/review, because I know someone poured their heart & soul into that book and just because it wasn’t for me doesn’t mean it isn’t for someone else!

And this is not to say I’ll never review books on here—I have posted some recs, but for the most part, I just don’t have time right now for current reads (making notes as I read isn’t an option because ✨ADHD✨) and for books I’ve loved in the past, my memory sucks so I can’t say *why* I loved it, haha.

***Not that I don’t appreciate my fellow authors that follow me & engage!!!! 😘🙏 I love your content also, whether it’s because it makes me laugh or it’s just helpful!***

Sometimes I get sick of looking at my words 🤣
A new perspective can breathe life back into my work. I jot down new ideas and trust the process!
