POSTS STORIES REELS

The past two days at High Point Market have been exactly what I didn’t even realize I needed.

I came here excited to explore showrooms, discover new pieces, and learn more about the industry. But what I’m taking away is so much bigger than furniture and beautiful spaces.

There’s something incredibly energizing about surrounding yourself with like-minded, creative people who share your passion. The conversations, the connections, the new friendships, the inspiration… it’s been such a reminder of why I love what I do.

I feel like I’ve found my purpose. And the more I immerse myself in this industry, the more I’m finding my own voice, refining my vision, and discovering what I want to bring to the design world.

I’m learning. I’m exploring. I’m asking questions. I’m making connections. And I’m soaking up every bit of it.

My heart is full, my creative cup is overflowing, and I feel more inspired than ever.

I can’t wait to take everything I’m experiencing, learning, and discovering here and bring it back to my clients.

High Point, you’ve been so much more than I expected. And I’m only getting started. 🤍

Bring on day 3 by @kbinteriorskc

People often ask me how I got into Interior Design.

I didn’t start here. But we eventually found each other and it has given me purpose.

I’ve always believed that the spaces we live in have a much bigger influence on our lives than we give them credit for.

And that’s a huge part of why I love what I do.

Design, to me, has never been just about making things look beautiful. Of course, I love beautiful things. I love the hunt for an unexpected piece, the mix of materials, the little details that make a room interesting. I could spend hours obsessing over the perfect combination of textures. And sometimes I do.

But what really fascinates me is how our surroundings influence the way we feel, think, connect + live.

How a thoughtfully arranged living room can encourage conversation. How a bedroom can help quiet a busy mind. How the right lighting, furniture placement or even a single object can completely change the energy of a space.

And how our homes need to evolve right alongside us.

I don’t believe good design starts with choosing an aesthetic. It starts with understanding people. Their personalities, routines, relationships, habits, and even the things they haven’t quite figured out they need yet.

That’s the part of this craft I find endlessly interesting. The psychology, the creativity, the problem-solving, the storytelling. Seeing possibilities where someone else might just see a room.

Because I’m not simply thinking about how a space will photograph. I’m thinking about what happens there on an ordinary Tuesday. Who gathers there. How it feels to walk through the door after a long day. And whether the space is actually supporting the life happening inside it.

A beautiful home is wonderful. A beautiful home that changes the way you experience your everyday life? That’s where the magic is for me. by @kbinteriorskc

Tassels are having a moment + I’m here for it. 📿🙌🏻

We’ve watched fringe make its way back into interiors—on furniture, pillows, lighting + textiles—and now its slightly more playful cousin is getting some attention too.

Tassels have been used for centuries as handcrafted finishing details. They were once a sign of craftsmanship + luxury, meant to make something feel just a little more special.

And I love that we’re coming back to that.

More texture. More movement. More personality. More details that feel collected instead of mass-produced.

There’s something nostalgic + soulful about a tassel, but also something kind of funky about it—which is probably exactly why I’m drawn to them.

I’ll be incorporating tassels into some of my holiday designs this year, and I cannot wait.

Old-world detail + a little unexpected Christmas magic - let’s go. by @kbinteriorskc

A lot of life lately.

Live music. Fresh air. Long hugs. Walking Michigan Avenue. Retail therapy. Client work that keeps me inspired. New projects + new seasonal feels.

And the deepest heartache—saying goodbye to Olive, my best friend and constant companion for 14 years. The kind of loss that leaves a quiet little hole in just about every part of your day.

Although its been hard, my world has been full of beauty, inspiration, excitement, grief, gratitude, and change—all existing at the same time.

So I’m soaking up the good, letting myself feel the hard, and holding the people + moments I love a little closer.

Welcome to fall.

IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR.

Chiefs home opener and Monday Night Football!

Red everywhere. Arrowhead under the lights. Traditions back on the calendar. Houses filling up with people. Christmas plans taking shape. And that unmistakable Kansas City energy that makes this part of the year feel bigger than the rest.

The Chiefs are officially home tonight + I’m already deep into creating Christmas for my clients—designing trees, sourcing the good stuff + planning homes that will set the scene for everything that happens inside them this season.

Only a handful of Holiday Decorating + Styling dates remain for 2026. If you want to snag one, link in bio to inquire.

Kansas City, it’s time.

GO CHIEFS. by @kbinteriorskc

Sometimes the best thing you can add to a room is perspective.

A designer’s perspective isn’t simply an opinion about what looks good. It’s a skill, a craft + an art that we spend years developing—and never really stop refining.

We study design, retail, art, fashion, history + materials. We pay attention to what’s changing, what has staying power + what’s worth bringing into your home.

All of that builds the eye.

You hire me for my taste, but also for my ability to see something you may not see yet. To know what to add, what to take away, what to move + sometimes, how to use something ordinary in a completely different way.

Good styling isn’t necessarily about having more.

It’s about knowing what to do with what’s there. by @kbinteriorskc

As we enter a new season, it’s the perfect opportunity to reintroduce myself.

Hi, I’m Kindal—an interior stylist + curator, Kansas City local, mom of three, foodie, fashion lover, dog lover + lifelong noticer of all the little details that make something feel special.

Before starting KB Home, I worked in marketing + branding. I learned how to listen closely, understand what makes someone different + translate that into something people can see and feel. Now, I do the same thing with interiors.

I help people who know how they want their home to feel—but aren’t quite sure how to get it there.

Sometimes that means finding the right furniture, art or lighting. Sometimes it’s reworking a room that looks fine but doesn’t function well. And sometimes it’s styling what you already own in a way that makes your entire home feel new again.

My approach is thoughtful, collected + always personal. I love natural materials, pieces made by actual people, unexpected details and anything with a good story. I believe quality matters more than luxury, personality matters more than perfection + your home should never look like it came straight out of a catalog.

I’m not here to give every client my version of a beautiful home. I’m here to help you recognize yourself in yours.

If you’re new here, I’m so glad you found me. And if you’ve been here awhile, thank you for following along. There’s a lot happening at KB Home right now—and I’m excited to share more of it with you.

Questions? Just ask! by @kbinteriorskc

Sourcing pieces with a story. Shopping for what’s next. Styling homes for a new season while feeling the shift in my own life, too.

I just can’t get enough of what I love most—the searching, noticing, collecting + imagining. Finding the object that changes the room. Watching a vision slowly take shape. Letting a new season influence the colors, textures + feeling I want to bring home.

A glimpse at what I’ve been working on, what’s been inspiring me + the beautiful in-between that rarely makes it into the finished photos.

Just a little visual of my practical magic lately ✨ by @kbinteriorskc

Fall doesn’t have one look.

It feels different in every home because every family experiences the shift differently—the return to routine, more time gathered inside and a natural pull toward spaces that feel warmer and more grounded.

My job is to interpret that season for the people who live there, using color, material and meaningful objects in a way that feels personal—not prescribed.

Even when September begins at 100 degrees, we still feel the shift coming by @kbinteriorskc

“We are loving the new fall feel around our home. You did a fabulous job of keeping it minimal, yet fresh and new! Even my kids and husband noticed, so I consider that a win!”

That’s exactly what I want a seasonal reset to do.

Because when you reset a home for a new season, you’re doing more than changing how it looks. You’re creating a shift the whole family can feel.

Fall brings new routines, different schedules, more time at home and a completely different rhythm than summer. Resetting your surroundings can help signal that change—almost like giving everyone a fresh starting point for what’s ahead.

And it doesn’t take a house full of new décor to create that feeling.

During a seasonal styling session, I edit, rearrange and restyle what you already have, then thoughtfully bring in new pieces, colors, textures and natural elements where they’ll make the most impact.

The goal is for your home to still feel completely like yours—just refreshed for the season you’re stepping into.

I believe a fresh mindset starts with a fresh environment.

It’s not too late to reset! Let me know if you are interested in a seasonal styling refresh.

Rock, stone and crystals are shaping so much of what I’m sourcing right now.

I’m drawn to their weight, natural markings and imperfections—the details that make every piece completely original. No repeated pattern. No identical copy. Nothing designed to appeal to everyone.

Not mass-produced. Not ordinary. Collected with taste and unmistakably yours.

That is the difference I want my work to bring to a home.

Big-box pieces can be useful, but they can’t be the entire story. When everything comes from the same familiar sources, a room can feel assembled instead of curated—no matter how much was spent filling it.

My work as a stylist goes beyond arranging objects. I search beyond the obvious, working with artisans and vendors around the world to find pieces with exceptional materials, craftsmanship and presence.

But access is only part of what I bring. The real value is my eye—knowing what is worth choosing, what belongs in your home and how to layer it with what you already own so the finished space feels personal rather than purchased.

Because a curated home isn’t created by simply buying more. It’s created by choosing fewer, better and more interesting pieces that give the room a story of its own. by @kbinteriorskc

Earthy, grounded and natural, with a distinct point of view. If you want your home to feel seasonal without looking like everyone else’s, this is what I do.

I don’t begin with traditional decor of a season. I begin with how I want it to feel.

This fall Im drawn to materials that feel connected to nature—sculptural seed pods, dried botanicals, warm woods and organic forms that bring depth, warmth and a quiet sense of change into a home.

This garland is an example of how I approach style + design: looking beyond the obvious and creating something more personal through shape, scale, contrast and texture.

That’s the intention behind my seasonal styling sessions. I don’t bring a formula into your home. I interpret the season through your space, your style and the life unfolding there.

Will show you the final look soon! by @kbinteriorskc
