The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed. Like yeast working through dough. Jesus reminds us that God often begins with what looks small. Our families, neighborhoods, and city are shaped by little things: the small joys we notice, the small pains we bring before God, and the daily acts of obedience we choose. Where have you seen a glimpse of God’s beauty? What small injustice needs your attention? What good news feels too small to share? Today, ask God to open your eyes. Make a plan to notice, respond, and share one small story this week. Read this week’s prayer guide at kcunderground.org/pray. by @kcunderground
Extraordinary prayer is where every movement of God begins. Tonight, we're gathering as the KC Underground family to seek Jesus together. We'll pray for unity across our network and city, for Kingdom abundance, and for the people and places God is calling us to love. As we prepare for TomorrowKC, we want to begin in the most important place: His presence. Join us tonight! New City Church, Raytown Campus 8622 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Raytown, MO 6:30-8:30 PM RSVP at the link in bio (kcunderground.org/gather), and bring a friend. by @kcunderground
Over the past six weeks, we’ve prayed in widening circles: our hearts, homes, streets, relationships, city, and the harvest. Before we move on, take a moment to look back. Has someone continued to come to mind? Have you noticed a need you used to walk past? Is there a relationship you want to give more time and attention? Bring that to Jesus. Thank him for what you’re beginning to see, and ask what faithfulness could look like next. We’d love to hear one small thing this prayer journey has helped you notice. Share about your own experience while keeping other people’s stories private. by @kcunderground

Who keeps coming to mind? Over these weeks, we’ve prayed for our hearts, homes, streets, relationships, and cities. As this prayer journey closes, bring those names and places before Jesus again. In Matthew 9, Jesus asks his disciples to pray for workers in the harvest. In the next chapter, he sends those same disciples out. As we ask God to send people who will love well and help others discover Jesus, we also make ourselves available. The next step may be a conversation, a deeper friendship, or continuing to pray faithfully for someone. Ask Jesus to help you recognize it. When Rob and Michelle moved to a new neighborhood in Kansas City, getting to know the place took time. Daily walks with their dog. Neighborhood cleanups. Front-yard conversations. Parties and unexpected friendships. As Rob shared earlier this year, prayer helped them become attentive to the people around them and recognize where Jesus was already at work. Relationships grew as they learned the rhythms of their new neighborhood. There’s an invitation here for all of us: pay attention to the ordinary moments when your life crosses someone else’s. What rhythm helps you connect with your neighbors? by @kcunderground
Your experience of Kansas City might look very different from someone else’s. This week, we widen our prayers beyond the people we know. In Jeremiah 29, God calls his people to put down roots and seek the flourishing of the city where they live—even in circumstances they never would have chosen. Where do you see goodness worth celebrating? Where are people hurting or being overlooked? Thank God for someone working for the good of your community. Bring a place of need before Him. Then ask where your presence, gifts, or relationships might help. Find this week’s prayer guide at kcunderground.org/pray. by @kcunderground
Some seasons are full before the week even begins. Work. School drop-offs. Caring for a parent. Getting dinner on the table. Trying to be present for the people who need you. Those relationships and responsibilities are places where you can follow Jesus today. You might pray for someone on your commute, ask a coworker a thoughtful question, or give someone at home your undivided attention. Ask Jesus: Who are you inviting me to love well today? Start with the person who comes to mind. by @kcunderground
Across Kansas City, our lives take us into different neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities. This November, we’re making time to come together as the KC Underground family. Join us to share a meal, celebrate stories of what God is doing across our city, and look ahead to 2027 together. We’ll consider how each of us can continue participating through prayer, presence, and generosity. Sunday, Nov 15, 2026 • 9:30 AM The Gathering KC 3126 Benton Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64128 Details and RSVP: kcunderground.org/tomorrowkc by @kcunderground
When Jesus restored a man’s life in Mark 5, the man wanted to go with him. Jesus sent him home to tell his own people what the Lord had done for him. This week, our prayer journey turns toward the relationships already woven into our lives. Take a few minutes to write down some names. Who is carrying something difficult? Who has been asking deeper questions? Who have you been meaning to check on? Bring them before God, and ask Him to help you listen well, love them, and recognize an opportunity to share what Jesus has done in your life. A neighbor who makes room at the table. A coworker who listens. A family learning to pray together. These are some of the ordinary places where life with Jesus grows. KC Underground exists to equip and empower people to flourish in their souls and families, with that life spilling over into the places they live, work, learn, and play. We’re a network of disciple-makers and microchurches (small spiritual communities following Jesus together) with a shared hope: Kansas City filled with the beauty, justice, and Good News of Jesus. If you’re getting to know KCU, we’d love to hear from you. What would you like to know? by @kcunderground
