We have some new faces here at Keenan Salon, y’all! Plus, some pricing updates for some of your faves🌈

Just a reminder: If your budget doesn’t fit a stylist that you worked with in the past, you can always switch it up with a different stylist at our salon. Zero awkwardness guaranteed. We get it!

What would REALLY be awkward is if we didn’t see you in our salon any time soon!!!

When are you booking your next appointment and coming to meet our new friends?

P.S. Don’t forget that we have an awesome stylist quiz if you aren’t sure who to book with. You can take the quiz at the link in our bio!

I don’t even know how to put this into words.

A few years ago, I was just trying to build a salon where people could feel comfortable being themselves. I never imagined that would lead to an article in the AJC.

What makes me emotional isn’t the publicity. It’s seeing the stories that were highlighted: the consultations, the transformations, the trust, the people who walk through our doors hoping to feel seen.

Hair has always been the vehicle. People have always been the purpose.

To every client, team member, supporter, and internet stranger who’s trusted us with a piece of their story, thank you. You built this with us.

If you really vibe with me but you’re looking for stylist who specializes in curly hair, extensions, balayage, or pretty much any other area, this is your guide!

When I started building this team, my main goal was to hire good people who are uniquely excellent at what they do. Every stylist at my salon is highly specialized and absolutely passes the vibe check. You may not have seen some of them on insta (yet!) but trust me when I say that I know you will love getting your hair done by any of them!

This economy is a real bummer, and we KNOW y’all are gonna roll up to vote tomorrow to help fix it. Until then, we just want you know that there’s no shame in booking with a stylist whose hourly is a little more affordable. In fact, we encourage it!

If you’ve been skipping cuts or color appointments because money feels tight, we see you (and those roots and split ends 👀), we want to invite you to book with our Bloom Academy Team or with a stylist whose hourly is a better fit for your budget. No drama or judgment here, ok? ❤️

Part of being an inclusive salon is being super committed to pricing transparency. On our website, you can find hourly pricing for each and every one of our stylists, including our Bloom Academy Team who all work at a flat rate of $80/hour.

The Bloom Team are not cosmetology students. They are all licensed cosmetologists who are leveling up their skills here at Keenan Salon under the guidance of our senior stylists who’ve been behind the chair for decades.

He told me that he had been working hard to prioritize his mental health and that finding his personal style was a part of that. Instead of going for a ton of inspo pics, I decided to walk through the styles with him.

One thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes inspo pics can feel more confusing than helpful when your body type or other features aren’t reflected in the mainstream images you can find easily online.

Because he voiced that he was struggling with finding a style that he felt would go well with his features, I wanted to find a way to explore options that would feel affirming and body positive while helping him find the answers he needed.

We landed on this versatile style that created a thicker hairline and provided a more intentional look. I’m so glad he chose me to help take this step on his mental health journey!
