Vlogmas Day 23| Cook with me and see how I made this delicious Filipino Chicken Tocino for the holidays 🍗🎄
#vlogmas #cookwithme #holidaycooking #christmasdinnerparty #cookingdiaries
Filipino Chicken Tocino (Instagram user: @ gidsgids recipe)
Ingredients:
* 2 Ibs chicken thighs
Tocino Marinade:
* 1/2 cup pineapple juice
* 1/2 - 3/4 cup brown sugar
* 6 cloves garlic, diced
* 1 Tbsp black pepper
* 2 Tbsp soy sauce
* 1.5 Tbsp Kosher salt
* 2 Tbsp white vinegar
* 6 drops red food coloring (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a bowi, whisk together all marinade ingredients.
1. Slice the chicken thighs into 2 inch slices
2. Submerge chicken in the marinade and refrigerate overnight for best flavor. I recommend marinading for 3 days but totally up to you of course.
3. On low heat cook the chicken until it’s cooked. Should take 4-5 minutes each. You can also put 1/2 cup water in the pan and cook the chicken thighs in the water on low-medium heat until the water evaporates and the sugar caramelizes.
4. Serve with white rice or garlic rice and enjoy! by @keirajolie_
