I’m so honored and excited to share this! Over the past year, I’ve been writing my first novel, “Fiona’s Tale,” which is currently in the re-write stage with more work ahead. @kellsiemooreauthor As a marketer, I decided to write a short story prequel to start the important (and challenging) journey of finding my readers. Inspired by that, I adapted the story, “The Witch in the Wall” into a screenplay to explore its potential—and so far, it’s won two film festival awards! It’s won San Diego Movie Awards AWARD OF PRESTIGE- BEST SCREENPLAY SHORT and London’s Film Buzz SCRIPT BUZZ AWARD @filmbuzzfest @sandeigomovieawards Thank you!!

👩‍🦰 Women, especially those with knowledge of herbal medicine, were often the primary targets of witch hunts in Scotland. Their skills were seen as a threat to patriarchal norms, leading to accusations of witchcraft.

In Fiona’s Tale, Fiona’s character is a powerful reminder of the resilience of women who stood against oppression.

Join her in reclaiming their stories and celebrating their strength!

Just one of the one-liners from #FionasTale that captures the haunting pull of danger and desperation.

Once dubbed ‘the Heart of Midlothian,’ Edinburgh’s Tolbooth Prison was far from charming.

For centuries, this grim stone fortress housed a notorious mix of thieves, rebels, and debtors—anyone unlucky enough to anger the Crown. It’s where some of Scotland’s most daring escapes were plotted, including one where prisoners bribed guards with ale to make their break into the night!

Steeped in dark history and tales of defiance, the Tolbooth stood as a symbol of punishment, perseverance, and, occasionally, triumph over tyranny. 🗝️ And it makes an appearance in #FionasTale!

Journaling is one of the things I picked up a few years ago and it comes in waves of consistency but I’m grateful to have it as a tool in my belt. Raise your hand if you’re like me. 🙋‍♀️

Writing in my journal has been an effective way for me to:
✍️ see my goals
✍️ track my progress
✍️ remember something inspirational and impactful
✍️ put my feelings into words
✍️ write the ideas that pop into my mind
✍️ record lessons learned
✍️ clear the clutter out of my mind!

Sometimes, my mind can turn into a chaos of thoughts and writing them down in my journal just puts them in order or gets them out of there.

So here I am, reflecting on some of my thoughts I’d jotted down and contemplating the blank pages ahead…

What do you write in your journal? I’m curious.

Back in July 2023, when we were in Wales, I decided I wanted to write my first novel and even though we were in Wales when I started writing it, I got my first inspiration when I had a road trip through Scotland in the Isle of Skye.
I was talking with my new friend about the history of witches in the area and the book “Corrag” that she was reading at that time. We also talked about our love for Outlander.

When we got settled in at a sheep farm for a month where it rained on us everyday in this beautiful enchanted forest location, the story came to me so clearly I just had to write it. ✍️

The men I picture while writing Alasdair…a conflicted Clansman and witch hunter thrown in by duty & service. Raven-black hair with steely blue eyes.🥰

Stepping back in time with 17th-century elegance. Check out these stunning 17th-century costumes!

Even though the characters in the book are not dressed this fancy, I think it would be fun to play dress and go to a ball in these one day. 💓
