I’m going to get dumb and emotional in my own caption about this one 😌✨…

I got ready morning of con not knowing how this was going to look, I forgot my red face marks, and I was pretty sure I would freeze.

Lo and behold, I got ready, looked in the mirror, and had to fight back tears of joy. Making San was so important to me and the child inside me. Hours of thinking, labour, trying, and failing went into this. Ghibli movies are so special to so many of us, and for the day I felt like I had stepped into the magic of that film.

I had so many beautiful interactions the day of con. I even met some other gorgeous princesses 🥰

HOWEVER, the most special and magical part of my day was having my photos taken by @javen_randomphoto. He breathed so much beauty and life into these photos, I am in absolutely awe of what he achieved. These will be precious to me for a long long time.

Thank you to everyone who cheered me on, and stood by me (on the phone) while I fumbled my way through this. These are some important people I feel need recognition:

Thank you @silvveri for your 3D print expertise, and teaching me that not everything has to be sanded at 240 grit to look good 🤭

Thank you @saikkos for the hours you spent on the phone to me keeping me company ❤️

Thank you to @trace_cos and @lunarkaiju who got me through my episode of doubt 😁

Shout out to the @spotlightstores employees who were so excited about me making this

Thank you @parkourninjacosplay and @silvveri for doing my prints 🫶

And last but certainly not least, thank you @vamprrr_cos for being my Ashitaka. Their photos are so GAWJESS, and I can’t wait for you all to see them. 😌✨

I also just want to shout out @liririen whose Princess Mononoke build is SO unbelievably beautiful, and awe inspiring that it kick started my motivation to finally do this. PLEASE 🙏go and look at her work, it is the absolute gold standard, and inspired me so much in my own process. She’s a GENIUS! 🗣️🤩

Anyway, that’s it! Sorry if you read all this, I just care so much. 🥰 by @kelpcos

The only reason I love cosplay, is because I get to do it with my beautiful friends. I love them all so much. They are the most precious thing I have in this world.
