Pink Out Pep Rally 2020💪🏾😤 by @kencel

It’s your anniversary today, and I miss you heavy. Life’s been crazy, but it still feels like I saw you just yesterday.

I think about all those days at your crib chillin’ in the basement, gaming, watching anime, bumpin’ music, figuring out the move. Then your pops would come down like, what yall doing and crack few jokes or “Get your chores done before y’all head out,” 😭 and you’d disappear for like an hour while I was laid out on the rug, listening to music wondering when you was coming back. Man sometimes you’d be gone for bricks lmao I’m sitting down there like damn “what he doing up there ” thinking you would never be back down 😂.

I miss the whole crew group calls, IG chats, dumb plans, and all those late nights sending memes, staying up until 4am, cracking jokes only we got. You were like a brother. You just got me. That kind of bond doesn’t come twice. I tear up just thinking about it. You was one the realest homies I ever knew man always kept a buck as well that’s what you made you different.

Your family always treated me like one of their own your pops, your mom, your grandma, your brothers even the little one. I’ll always be thankful. Your home felt like mine ❤️.

Ever since the lake, I’ve carried this guilt. I still replay that day in my head having nightmares sometimes, wishing I could’ve done more. wishing I was strong enough to get out that water I always felt like failed you that day I couldn’t save you. It changed me I always felt deep shame in myself till this day.

I always wonder what life would be like if you were still here physically. Even though I know you’re in heaven, I still think about it. I knew you would have done great things especially in track if you went to college for it and been a genius in the classroom as-well.

Miss you like crazy everyday homie I know God’s taking care of you and Joseph, and I can’t wait to see y’all again one day. Your dad once told me I gotta live how you would’ve wanted and live for you. I’ve been trying, even when it’s hard. I’ll keep doing my best for you, homie and make you proud, so I got a story to tell trust. 🕊️❤️ by @kencel
