POSTS STORIES REELS
Hi, I’m Kendal! I’m a wife and homeschooling mom of 3. I recently found a passion for reading. Specifically clean / closed door romance and Christian suspense genres. I’ve always wanted to be an avid reader, but I could never seem to finish the books I started. Three years ago, I set out on a mission to change that and started working on my reading speed and set a yearly goal of 12 books. It was hard but I made that goal 2 years in a row! But this year, I discovered the fiction world, specifically clean / closed door romance and Christian suspense genres, and I also bought a kindle back in July and it has changed my book life. 😃 I reached my 12 book goal by March this year! I’m currently on book 57 for 2024 and counting. My TBR has grown so much thanks to the bookstagram community. I’ve decided I want to help authors spread their books and also help readers find the perfect reads by sharing the books I’ve read and loved. 💁🏻‍♀️So follow me for book recs and reviews for all things clean, closed door, & Christian suspense romances. Happy reading 🫶🏻 #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booksta #newbookstagram #newbookstagrammer #cleanromance #closeddoorromance #christiansuspense #readbooks #lovetoread #booksofinstagram #christianromance #romcom by @kendals.kindle
✨ 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹 ✨ I have loved the first 1.5 books in this series. I cannot wait for Asher’s story!!! And how gorgeous is this cover? Each book splits the seasons and will make a complete year at the end of the series. How cool is that? I love the details like this. Book 2 in Love in Starlight Valley By @authortiffanynoellechacon and @lindsayrochester.writes 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗯 He’s always chased adventure. She’s always played it safe. Maybe it’s time they both tried something new. Celeste DuPont is tired of letting fear call the shots. Armed with a list of things she’s always been too afraid to try, the shy bookshop owner is ready to start taking chances. Small ones, preferably. Professional rock climber Asher Dawson has never met a challenge he couldn’t tackle headfirst. Until a career-threatening injury leaves him wondering who he is without the sport he loves. When Asher lands in Celeste’s bookshop with a few shelves to fix and too much time on his hands, he discovers his new favorite challenge: making Celeste smile. And when he stumbles on her list of fears, he volunteers to help her tackle it. After all, how hard could it be? Too bad helping Celeste find her courage might require something he’s never been good at—slowing down. Somewhere between line-dancing, late-night adventures, and one very dangerous almost-kiss, Celeste realizes there’s one risk she never put on her list: falling for Asher Dawson. And this time, she’s not sure she wants to play it safe. #coverreveal #newrelease #romance #neverbeenkissed #bookstagrammer by @kendals.kindle

✨Book Review✨ Book: Resisting the Fall Author: Jess Heileman Genre: Sweet Rom-Com Second Chance with a married couple… yes please! 💞I loved the dual POV with Maven telling the present and Ben telling their past. They have a long history growing up together, but their dreams are completely opposite of each other which causes tension. I loved watching the growth and realization of what was most important in their life. The tension to get to that point was funny and swoony. Also, while reading this I had a sudden craving to try these maple bars and sticky buns they kept talking about. And if you need any prank ideas look no further, because Maven is a master prankster and her pranks were clever and made me laugh. 😂I got excited when “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” was mentioned because that’s exactly what I thought of during the barn raising. I am enjoying reliving the main events of fall in Autumn Ridge through different points of view in each book. Can’t wait for the next one. Such a fun fall series so far. ❤️🍁🍂 FMC: Maven - pro violinist MMC: Ben - construction What you’ll find: 🔸 Dual POV (past-his, present-hers) 🔸 Second Chance 🔸 Friends to Lovers 🔸 Married Couple 🔸 Forced Proximity 🔸 Maple Bars 🔸 Pranks & Banter 🔸 “7 Brides for 7 Brothers” reference 🔸 Sweet Home Alabama Vibes 🔸 Fall Festivities 🔸 Small Town vs City INFO: 📚: Book 3 of 8 - “Falling for Autumn” series 🔹: Connected Standalone 📖: 382 pages; 🎧11h16m 🌎: Autumn Ridge, VT CONTENT: 🌶️: No Spice, kissing only 🤬: None 𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰… 1. ✨Book Review✨ Book: The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip Author: Sara Brunsfold @sara_brunsvold Pub: Revell @revellfiction Genre: Contemporary Christian Fiction What a moving and inspiring story of a life lived with faith and love for God and people. I really loved Mrs. Kip’s boldness through her life to share the gospel and take care of others. It was fun to watch the growth in Aiden throughout the story. This is a bit of an angsty story as it happens in a hospice house. But I found it so encouraging and convicting of what truly matters in this life. We all have a death date… how will you choose to live life before that date comes? What an encouraging read filled with God’s truth. Definitely recommend. ✨Book Review✨ Book: One Wild Chance Author: Grace Worthington @graceworthingtonauthor Genre: Sweet Contemporary Romance I loved this one! I was sucked in from the beginning when Jaxon stole flowers from her field and she chased him down on her horse. 🤭 Summer is such a hard worker and doesn’t complain even though she bears a lot of burdens on her shoulders with her mom in a nursing home, trust issues from her dad walking out, and possibly losing the farm she’s loved and cared for most of her life. Jaxon (a former hockey player) just wants to sell the farm and get out of Golden Springs, but there’s a 2 year requirement in the will to earn his inheritance… So will he stay and save the farm or sell it and move away leaving the girl behind? Read to find out their journey to growing and finding what they really want in life. There were some bumps along the way and I really enjoyed the character depth that made them feel like real people. The horse farm and small town were so dreamy and the side characters were so fun. I cannot wait to read the rest of the Chance brothers’ stories! This was a great start to a new series. ✨Book Review✨ Book: The Fall Fake-Out Author: Kortney Keisel @authorkortneykeisel Genre: Sweet Rom-Com This was such a fun, flirty, lighthearted fall romance that made me laugh. It was very atmospheric in creating the fall vibe of the festival, high school football games and small town pride. I felt like I was there in the cool night air, wearing a sweatshirt and blanket, drinking hot chocolate and cheering on the football team. The competition between Wade and Ari made me laugh. Wade, though he may seem like a player to everyone else, is actually a great principal who genuinely cares about the students and the one girl who got away. Ari is super competitive and her inner thoughts in some scenes really made me laugh. If you’re looking for a fun and flirty fall romcom try this one. And I really enjoyed the audiobook for this one. It was dual narrated for his and her voice not just per chapter. 👏🏼 FMC: Ari - H.S. ✨Book Review✨ Book: Promise You the Moon Author: Tiffany Noelle Chacon & Lindsay Rochester @authortiffanynoellechacon @lindsayrochester.writes Genre: Sweet Rom-Com I loved this bodyguard, marriage of convenience romance. Hunter was such a great green flag hero. The way he protected Ellie and took care of her and Sweetpea was one of the sweetest I’ve read for a male main character. He was a green flag dad too. And the fact that he was a marine really upped his ability to protect Ellie. Ellie was also so sweet and kind and I loved her growth through this story. Ellie running from her ex-husband gave just enough suspense to keep the pages turning but not enough to keep me sacred & awake at night. So if you’re not a big suspense reader, but you like a protective Hero and marriage of convenience, then you’ll still like this one. Tiffany is one of my favorite authors and Lindsay was new to me so I’m excited to read more from her. I cannot wait for more in this series to come out. ✨Book Review✨ Book: The Bodyguard’s Fall Author: Cindy Steel @authorcindysteel Genre: Closed Door Romance I could not put this book down. It had one of my favorite tropes: protective / bodyguard MMC! ❤️ And Tate was an excellent bodyguard, except for when he was distracted by his attraction for Olivia. I loved Olivia’s growth throughout this story from hiding from her fears to facing them in the end. She learned that courage isn’t the absence of fear… It’s choosing to move forward despite it. The stalker aspect created a suspense feel to this plot, which really kept the pages turning for me. It got a little creepy at times, so proceed with caution if you are sensitive to that topic. This book also had a surprise trope thrown in here that I didn’t see coming but is also a favorite of mine so that was a pleasant surprise. I’ll just let you read and figure that one out. 😉 I adored Tate’s family. His mom was the sweetest and his brother’s made me laugh, but overall I loved the ease they had of opening their home to Olivia so they all could protect her. Olivia’s friends Reese and Ari were fun in their group chats and I can’t wait to read their stories. I also loved the text chats between Tate and Will, Olivia’s older brother. This will be on my favorites list for the year!
