Brotherhood is more than what we say—it’s what we do.

Good food. Good conversation. Dominoes. Fight night. A few cigars. And most importantly, Brothers simply enjoying time together.

This is what it looks like when we make time to connect, laugh, fellowship, and strengthen the bonds that brought us together in the first place.

Election night has me reflecting on a couple of memorable moments from this year’s campaign trail.

During State Fair Classic weekend, I had the opportunity to meet James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa as their campaigns brought them through the Kappa House in Dallas.

At the time, these were simply opportunities to connect, exchange a few words, and capture a moment. Tonight, as election results unfold across Texas and the country, those encounters take on additional significance.

One of the things I appreciate about moments like these is the opportunity to engage with people who are participating in the political process and shaping conversations about our communities.

A memorable State Fair Classic weekend, for more reasons than one.

♦️ POLEMARCH POV | Four Months in the Chair

Four months into this journey, I’ve learned that leadership comes with responsibilities you expect—and blessings you never see coming.

The love, respect, and support I’ve received from the Brothers of Dallas Alumni have truly humbled me.

I don’t take any of it for granted. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve, and even more grateful for the Brotherhood that makes it all worthwhile.

Some experiences are bigger than the moment itself.

I recently had the opportunity to join my Brothers for an evening with Colin Kaepernick—an experience that brought together Brotherhood, leadership, and meaningful conversation.

From our private engagement with Colin to hearing his perspective on stage, the evening was a reminder that leadership requires conviction, courage, and a willingness to stand for something greater than yourself.

Grateful for the opportunity, the conversations, and the Brothers who shared the experience.

POLEMARCH POV ♦️ | HOUSTON, TX

Leadership doesn’t stop when the meeting ends.

The Southwestern Province C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference brought Brothers together in Houston for a weekend of learning, meaningful conversations, and Brotherhood.

From discussions about reclamation and the transition from undergraduate to alumni membership to opportunities to connect with Brothers across the Province, I walked away with valuable perspectives to bring back to Dallas Alumni.

One thing continues to resonate with me: Strong chapters are built through engaged Brothers and meaningful relationships.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and continue growing as a leader.

POLEMARCH POV ♦️

State Fair Klassik Weekend — from preparation and the pregame to the tailgate, fellowship, and everything in between.

One of the things I enjoy most about serving as Polemarch is seeing Kappa through so many different lenses — the work behind the scenes, the relationships we build, and the moments of Brotherhood that make it all worthwhile.

This weekend was another reminder that sometimes leadership is simply being present, staying engaged, and enjoying the journey with the Brothers.
