Up until the beginning of last week, she was still wearing a bikini. But now she’s ready for Halloween! by @kerrywinfrey

Thanks to @jendelucawrites for coming to spend the evening with us and sharing all about your new romcom, Well Met! Also a special thank you to Columbus fav, @kerrywinfrey for being the most lovely moderator and of course to our amazing romance-loving community for coming out to support the romance genre! We are forever grateful for all of you and your love of reading. 💕📚🥰 by @kerrywinfrey

⚔️Another fabulous book talk filled with laughter, bookish love, and ALL the huzzahs! 🏰

A huge thank you to @storylinebookshop my favorite indie bookstore, for hosting another wonderful event! I’m so glad I finally got to meet @jendelucawrites ,the mastermind behind the Well Met renaissance faire romance series!

And moderating? None other than local author extraordinaire @kerrywinfrey , who ALWAYS asks the best questions! 👏🏻

I even got to gift Jen a handmade keychain to celebrate Well Versed, the final book in the series!

Haven’t read Jen’s books yet? FIX THAT! My personal favorite is Well Matched, featuring a single mom, fake dating, one bed, grumpy/sunshine (HIM!), he falls first, and a reverse age gap. I MEAN… COME ON! 😍🔥

QOTD: What’s your favorite romance trope? 👀

I wrote about the fantastic Cher film MERMAIDS this week on No One Asked. Also discussed: the limitations of Hoopla, Bob Hoskins being British, NUNS, falling in love with your bus driver, appetizers, Gilmore Girls, and more. You can read/subscribe via the link in my bio! by @kerrywinfrey

We are so excited to be in Delaware, OH (the Columbus area) with @kerrywinfrey next month! Kerry is the author of numerous adult rom-coms (as well as some YA books!). I (Misty) am currently reading Faking Christmas and I cannot stop laughing. (I LOVE a messy protagonist). Anyway, join us at @beanbag_books and we can talk all about that—and Soulmates and Falling Like Snow! Tickets are not necessary, but the link at mistywilsonwrites.com/events will take you to the preorder page for our books, which will help the store know how many people are planning to come! Hope to see you there! by @kerrywinfrey

It’s important to keep a book stack on your desk that gives the impression of a well-rounded person and/or a person who’s open to any world view that will help them get some writing done. by @kerrywinfrey

VERY SINCERELY YOURS is still on sale for $1.99, but your time is almost up! This is the book that I came up with after visiting a Jim Henson exhibit and having the life-changing realization that Jim Henson was hot. Find it wherever ebooks are sold! by @kerrywinfrey

I went to the library today to work, only to find that I couldn’t use Word because I needed to log in (what), but of course I didn’t know my password so I had to download an authenticator app (no) and then when I tried to log into the authenticator app it asked for a code from…the very app I was trying to log into (help). When I eventually logged in, I only got an “unknown error” code with the advice that I “try again later.” I love technology 🥰 Anyway I hand-wrote a chapter because you CANNOT keep me down and maybe I’m gonna go live in the woods now. The point of this post was not to complain but to tell you that I am still writing! Thank you for asking me when my next book will be out…I know it’s been a couple years, but honestly after seven books in seven years I needed a little pause to get my head on straight and try something new. This very notebook contains my current project. Perhaps it will come to you in handwritten form if I never get my computer to work again. Let’s hope not, but no promises. Hard not to feel like the universe is throwing me a personal and insulting roadblock but I will not be deterred…not by error messages or apps. Fortunately/unfortunately I’m very stubborn and this applies to computers and writing. Truly, thank you to anyone who cares about my books…I appreciate you so much! ❤️ by @kerrywinfrey

It’s fall, y’all! Well, not according to the calendar or the weather, but it IS September and PSLs are on menus across the nation, so it’s close enough. And what perfect timing: my cozy ode to fall, VERY SINCERELY YOURS, is on sale for $1.99 through September 6th wherever ebooks are sold! Do you love: a creative and emotionally intelligent hero? A woman who must learn to be the heroine of her own life? A big Halloween celebration? Major You’ve Got Mail vibes (there are emails!)? Then this is your book! Thank you to THEE @sarah_hogle for this blurb, and I wanted to share some lovely posts that give you the ~vibe~ of VERY SINCERELY YOURS. 🍁 🍂 🎃

Thank you @allysbookshoparoundthecorner!

Thank you @mirandaleighwrites!

Thank you @lesleyscraps for this quote that really captures the spirit of the book 🍗 by @kerrywinfrey

My journey through the American Film Institute’s list of greatest love stories continues with PILLOW TALK. Also discussed: mishaps and hijinks, catfishing, why the ideal man is actually pretending to be a Texan, Jack Tripper, Tony Randall, and more. Link in my bio/stories! by @kerrywinfrey

Over on No One Asked this week, I wrote about the AI-generated award winning poster at the Ohio State Fair and how upset I am about it. But also I wrote about the creativity and beauty that the rest of the building housed, and how I would always rather see imperfect things created by human hands. Consider this my anti-AI manifesto.
