There’s nothing like a little Bergdorf Goodman to help me get through my week… 🤩 by @keyhunterofficial

My birthday week was incredible. I’m truly grateful for all of the birthday love. ♥️ by @keyhunterofficial

As I close out my Mother’s 😇 birthday, I think of all the beautiful birthday memories we shared. Her birthday was always so special to me. She would remind me of how she wanted me to come on her birthday and how that would have been a special gift; I came after the clock struck midnight, in the wee hours of the morning. She was a woman who loved celebrations: special days, holidays and certainly birthdays. She always made it a priority to make all of her children’s birthdays special… I couldn’t have had a more thoughtful and generous Mother. Generous with her time and her talents. Generous with her thoughts, words and deeds. Generous with her prayers. I remember when she was diagnosed with cancer. That was May 2015. They gave her 6 months to live. She was just shy her 68th birthday and she confided in me that she wanted to see her 70th birthday. So that was my prayer for the next two years and God honored her wish. I made it my business to do everything I possibly could to make it the best birthday ever… and it was. She marveled in disbelief to have been surprised by her dearest friends, church family, her beloved sisters, family, her treasured children and grand children and loving husband. Now she rests sweetly and she lives forever in my heart. Happy Birthday Mother… 🕊️ Loving you from this side - Always 💫

We did very well at the vet clinic today. So pup cup and a tall ice water for Allie and a venti macchiato for me. Starbucks Key HunterAllie🐶 by @keyhunterofficial

Welcome to the late night show. I got home later than usual so there was no quality time at 6 o’clock and she had to put herself down for her evening nap. Now she’s clung to me like a smedium polo. #alliethemaltipoo #thedollofnantucket #atlanta #atlantarealtor #atlantarealestate #onsiteagent #keysellshomes #🗝️sellshomes by @keyhunterofficial

It has finally arrived! I adore Ina 🥰… @inagarten #barefootcontessa #thedollofnantucket #fridaynightreading #bereadywhentheluckhappens by @keyhunterofficial

It happened the Sunday before Memorial Day at 10:03 pm, 2017. While I was holding my mother’s hand, she found her place in the line of the Great Procession and began her march to Zion. I felt like I had stopped breathing. With tears in my eyes, I thought: “There she goes”. Heaven’s gates opened and they said, “Here she comes!” In the stillness of the night, I found beauty in this moment. She had done what she’d sat out to do: she had loved, believed and lived. She led by example. She gave to anyone in need. She loved her children. She loved her husband. She loved her sisters. She loved her family. She loved her Pastor and her church. She could rest now. Well earned, well deserved sweet rest. It was my privilege to have belonged to her and her to me. I also counted it a privilege to have cared for her during this time. While I cherish every precious memory - I wish we could have made more. But I understand what happened and I never questioned God’s process. So with that, I rejoice for her receiving her life’s reward - but I still cry for myself, living with my new normal. I’ll remember my mother always, I’ll love her forever. 🕊️😇
