@mehronmakeup

My centipede nightmare creature couture was inspired by the makeup artistry of Hungry and the sculptural, organic fashion of Iris van Herpen through the era of 2010s. My creature has entered an unfamiliar environment filled with centipedes, forcing it to adapt to its new surroundings. The centipede became a symbol of adaptability and resilience, representing the ability to transform, endure, and find strength in an unfamiliar environment. Rather than simply becoming a centipede, my creature is learning from its environment by adapting and evolving into something humanoid.

I created the black and yellow centipedes on the bodice, arms, and headpiece by using cutout plastic shapes, and painting them and the legs with a mix of Mehron Cream Sticks, Paradise Makeup AQ, Mixing Liquid, setting powders, eyeshadows and spray paints.
