A day with me!!

#dayinthelife #threadsjournal by @khushimantri07

India was never meant to be minimal. Every carved window, every weathered wall has a little too much story to tell.

Smudged a little, left the rest in black and white. Somehow, the beauty holds its own in every shade. 🧡

Some frames from my life that I will cherish, no matter what.

READ CAPTION CAREFULLY

It’s strange how we convince ourselves that we’ve forgotten certain moments. We stop talking about them, the details become blurry, and life moves forward until they feel like they belong to another version of us.

But they never really leave.

They stay hidden in the quietest corners of our minds, waiting for a familiar song, a particular smell, an old photograph or a view that suddenly takes us back. And for a few seconds, we remember exactly how it felt to be there, who we were and who was beside us.

Maybe forgetting is simply learning how to carry a memory without feeling its weight every day. The moment passes, people change and life looks completely different, but somewhere inside us, it remains untouched.

These are some of those moments for me. Pieces of places, people and versions of myself that I may not think about every day, but will always carry with me. Because even when the mind forgets for a while, the heart somehow remembers everything. 🤍

Now, I’m not saying abuse people. This is purely about understanding people’s perspectives.

Curse words have become so common that, for many, they are simply a part of everyday language. For some, swearing offers instant stress relief, helping them release frustration without holding everything inside. For others, it is about sounding cool, fitting in or expressing emotions more dramatically.

The words may be the same, but the intention behind them can be completely different. Context, comfort and boundaries matter. So, is swearing always disrespectful, or has it simply become another way we communicate?

TOUCH GRASS

with uncles judging me ofc

But the perfect way to start a work morning by @khushimantri07

“WHAT CAN BE”

A second. A touch. A stranger. And a hundred possibilities of what could be.

This concept came from a simple thought — what if one ordinary interaction could turn into an entire day worth remembering? What if, for just a second, you could see all the little moments that could happen with someone you haven’t even met properly yet?

The conversations, the laughter, the awkward silences, the unexpected comfort. All of it existing somewhere between imagination and possibility.

Now, a little personal note.

This is definitely not my best work, and I know that. I was sick while working on it, and by the end, I was honestly more frustrated than satisfied. There were things I wanted to execute differently, frames I wish I’d captured better, and moments that looked a lot prettier in my head.

But I loved this concept too much to let it sit in my drafts forever.

And I’m slowly learning that not everything I create has to be my absolute best to deserve a place on my page. Sometimes it’s about the idea, the effort, the experience, and simply creating something because I wanted to.

So here it is. A little imperfect, a little frustrating, but still something that came from my imagination and turned into actual frames.

And anyway, mera account, meri marzi.

“Beneath the Surface”

It started with a tiny observation: the way someone shakes their leg, holds their hands a little too tightly, pulls themselves inward, reaches for someone else, or simply sits still.

The little things we do without even realising.

And how quickly we attach a feeling to them; nervous, guarded, comfortable, distant, okay.

But people are never that simple.

Sometimes crossed feet exist with relaxed hands. Sometimes restlessness exists with a smile. Sometimes there’s an entire story behind a movement we may never fully understand.

I’ve been waiting for months to bring this idea out of my notes and into actual frames, so watching it finally come to life feels incredibly special.

A huge thank you to @sugam_lamba for being such an important part of making this happen.

And thank you to @two_hungry_stoners & @anshul_grewal for giving us such a beautiful space to create, experiment and turn into our little film set for the day.

This one is personal because it comes from the way I see people.

The little things. The pauses. The movements.
Everything that exists quietly…

below the surface.
